they were satisfactory but I wish I could have found some that were more coarse in that they didn't sand down the texture I was trying to remove but the disks themselves were a good quality and held up

They are a little pricey, but each pad goes a long way. My take now is if you're going to spend anywhere from $800 to $1000 for a power sander with the vacuum set up, why cheap out on the sanding pads. You will sand walls and ceilings with ease and virtually dust free. What a blessing after years of ingesting miles of drywall dust not to mention burning eyes and unhappy customers. BTW, the Porter Cable sander comes with one of these in the box and it is 150 grit, which is a good all purpose grit, cuts fast but doesn't damage the paper.

I tried a cheaper version and the sand paper dislodged from the pad. The Porter-Cable brand lasts as long as the sand paper. Don't be like me and try to save a buck or two by trying a cheaper brand and end up paying more. I won't buy anything but Porter-Cable brand pads from now on.

The only thing I regret was not getting finer sanders like 180..220 but it still does a pretty job
