What can I say, it smashes potatoes. Red ones, Idaho ones, sweet ones, little ones, big ones ect. Seems solid and well made.

I have a masher 3 1/2 inches wide and I had to retire it, The stainless steel came off, then copper coating, then straight steel, and started to rust and I don't think I need that type of iron supplement. This masher is 5 inches wide. It works great for a large pot. I read the bad reviews and bought it anyway. It works like the little masher I had for 10 years and feels just as sturdy. I'm Going to keep it and recommend it if you need a large masher...
