I purchased and used this socket for a different application. But This little socket turned out to be the best thing for a BMW 2006 X3. I had to change the oil in this car for an elderly person who could not afford BWM service prices. BMW service department would not sell me a oil wrench for for this car, even after I explained the situation. Which is against the law in my Stare we have the right to repair law, Germany does not set policy in a US State!. However I was able to figure out that on the top of the oil case filter holder there was 36 mm molding on the case. Which this socket worked beautifully. All the BMW service manager at the shop had to say is use this size nut on the oil filter housing, and you'll be fine but he was not a human being.

I’ll be honest I have never found a bad impact socket. Maybe guys that use these all day everyday split them or somehow break them, but I haven’t. This is a solid socket. Fits perfectly and is made in Taiwan. They make some solid tools. Priced right and well marked.

Worked great with 1/4 zip gun to remove 3rd gen 4Runner axle nut. One note, if you’re using hand tools, it’s just barely deep enough to do with the tire on, but would be 5/5 if socket was a bit deeper. Again, did the trick and should last the cars lifetime. Recommend.

Got the job done. Does what I needed it to. Seems like good quality and good value. Only use it so often cause it is such an odd size. Would recommend to anyone who needs this.

Perfect socket for my needs. Most H/D axle sockets only have 1" nut flanges then machine a smaller hole for the axle shaft. Needed a special socket for Cummins front mounted engine mounts on a Transit Bus (20mm nut with limited access). Will have to cut 3/4" off bottom of socket to shorten it to fit around crankshaft pulley which will still leave 1" to grab the nut. This one has nut flanges machined almost to top of socket a true 1 3/4" DEEP socket ... hard to find this in any description in Details section. Narrow 1/2" drive section at top is extra bonus for limited access areas. True one day delivery as well.
