This stick up knob sticks to very smooth surfaces only. This will not stick to any surface with a small amount of texture. This will word on smooth plastic or glass but not much else. Just be aware of this, I tried it on a wall that had normal wall texture (no special textures added) and it fell off almost immediately. When it is stuck, it sticks well though. You will pull the knob from the base before you pull the base from the surface. This is a great product if used for it's specific application.

Success! My sliding shower doors have handles on only one side. The inside door, toward the shower head, has a handle only on the inside. The outer door, away from the shower head, has a handle only on the outside. It can't be any other way because the doors overlap when open. I got this chrome knob to open the shower door from the inside where there isn't a handle. The knob is small enough to be out of the way but easily opens the door. It attaches to the shower door with a strong suction cup and installs in seconds.I wish I had found this long ago. This is a keeper!
