Our university laboratory has extensively worked with these tick remover tools to ensure that they can easily and safely remove all types of ticks from humans or animals.
- The tick removal tool can be used to gently and entirely remove larger embedded ticks by sliding the fork underneath the tick's mouthparts and lifting.
- The ultra-fine-tip tweezers can be used to precisely remove tiny embedded deer ticks or tick nymphs.
The CDC recommends the use of fine-tipped tweezers to carefully remove ticks. Beware of other tick removal tools that advertise "twisting" or jerking the tick - this can cause the mouth-parts to break off and remain in the skin, and increase the transmission risk of tick-borne infections like Lyme disease.

- Deer Tick - This small, black and reddish tick can carry and transmit Lyme disease. Nymph deer ticks are especially dangerous because they are smaller than the head of a pin
- Lone Star Tick - This tick, identified by a telltale white spot on the dorsal shield, is associated with diseases including STARI (Southern Tick Associated Rash Illness) and Bartonellosis
- American Dog Tick - This larger, brown tick is known to carry bacteria that cause diseases including Tularemia and Rocky Mountain spotted fever
The card also includes instructions for safely removing embedded ticks, and information on having ticks professionally identified or checked for tick-borne disease at the TickCheck's university-associated laboratory.

My dog hates getting ticks removed, so this was definitely worth the money! They are the perfect size for pinching ticks off and very durable for when my dog try to move the whole time making them easy to use. They are portable with a cute little black case to carry them in. With two different options it makes it very versatile depending on the type and size of tick.

Our cat has recently been coming home with ticks daily. He's and indoor outdoor cat while I have been waiting on his soresto collar to come in this tool has been wonderful and easy to use. Gets ticks off super easy and the material it's made out of is quality and heavy duty. You can feel it in the tool. I highly recommend for anyone needing or looking for a tick removing set

I have fortunately not had to use it yet, we vary rarely have ticks where I live but planning a trip to tick country so planning ahead. This appears to be a well made set of tools to take on any tick. I feel well prepared to take on any tick problem we may encounter with our dog. Arrived quickly.q

There are cheaper alternatives out there, but these looked to be of better quality. On review, both tools appear to be made of good stainless steel, and nicely finished (no sharp or rough edges, except of course the tweezers' points). The knurled plastic coating on the tick puller is grippy enough to give you good control. There's none of that on the handles of the tweezers, but they're flat, you don't need it.We've had a mild winter, and wet spring, so lots of ticks in both western and eastern WA, earlier than usual. Walking and working in the woods, or on our off-grid place, we just can't avoid the brush and grasses where they lay in wait. My wife and I have already found several ticks on ourselves, and several dozen on our lab, Hannah. We check during and after every outing, and find most of them before they've had a chance to dig in...but a few have escaped notice long enough to draw a little blood from poor Hannah. I've given her a Bravecto tablet, and it does drive them off her, but it seems like it can take a couple of hours for the ticks to recognize the poison and get lost...and when they jump ship, they sometimes wind up in the house or cabin, to munch on us later.At first I was disappointed that the slit in the tick puller didn't fine-down enough to grip onto the small ticks...then I read the instructions, realized I should have been using the tweezers. They work great on the tiny nymphs. Just do as the instructions say, pull straight up, slow and easy. We've been careful, and haven't snapped off a tick's head yet.The small plastic ("leatherette") case fits easily in my shirt pocket, so we take the kit with us when we go outdoors -- we can be gone for hours, and don't want to give the critters a chance to bury-in. The case seems sturdy enough to last a good while. If it wears out, I'll put the tools into an old aluminum cigar holder. You need some kind of holder, the tools are so small they'll get lost if carried loose.I wasn't real sure we'd get a lot of use out of these, but it looks like we will. Glad I bought them.

This kit is a must have item if you own a dog in the South. Even with tick prevention measures, those little buggers will still hitch a ride into your house.These tools will aid in properly removing ticks from dogs or family members and the case is great for keeping the tools together and easy to find when you need them.

These are the best tick removers I have ever had. They are really easy to use as a set. The split fork like tool is really great at removing nearly all ticks of any size, and the fine tweezers are ideal for getting the smallest of ticks. I have used these on dogs, cats and humans. Overall would say these are really functional, solidly built and good looking tools which are great value for money.

Product is well made. Both tweezers & pry bar have individual slots in leather case-awesome.1 piece of feedback for the team, it would be nice if the "info card" was designed such that it could be placed in the holder. I put clear "box tape" around mine & then cut it in order slide 34 of it into case flap holder.
