Purchased to take on a trip to a region known for ticks. This is a good quality product, comes in a little sleave, light weight so easy to throw into a purse. Removers were bigger than I expected for the price, nice size to hold on to. Very pleased with the purchase

It's a good set for the price. What I didn't expect is the tick removing tool itself is heavy. Maybe too heavy for carrying when hiking when ounces count. It's well made, just too heavy for backpacking which is what I wanted it for. However, for use at home it's perfect. I don't know the steel quality of the steel but I don't think it's medical grade. The set also includes tweezers which are okay. Whoever said the tweezers are as thin as aluminum foil is exaggerating. They are not the best tweezers in the world but are sturdy enough to be used for pulling out ticks. The set is housed in small container which is super cheap. Mine arrived cracked because it didn't come in any sort of packaging. It's as if I received someone else's return. It should have been factory sealed and it wasn't. Thinking of returning it back to Amazon. Maybe better luck next time.

The tick removal tool is very well made, almost too good. It's a bit heavy to carry with you. However, the tweezers, which is the tool I really wanted as the curved tweezers with a sharp point can be used for other things like removing splinters, etc. The tweezers are really thin though, and flex when trying to grab anything. So, they wouldn't be useful for things like splinter removal. They should be adequate for removing a tick though. Personally, I want tweezers that are a bit more heavy duty so they are more useful for other situations too (and I'd like the tick removal tool to be a little lighter so I can carry it out in the wilderness.) Looking at the product photo, it's a bit misleading as it looks like the tweezers are thicker than they really are...

We have a naughty dog that likes to run through a brushy area of our yard no matter how hard we try to keep her out. And it seems like every time she gets in there, she comes out with some blood-sucking passengers. We've been using eyebrow tweezers to remove them and they weren't always doing a great job. This kit looks like a much better solution--tools specifically designed to remove the bugs. I'm not eager to try it out, but I'm happy to have it on hand if needed until the big yardwork job gets done. To my eye these look well designed and I like the case which will make the kit easier to find in the drawer.

The fork tool is very good, but the tweezer is very thin, and I think it would easily bend.
