Amazingly fast, the SaladShooter literally shoots out prepared food directly into a salad bowl or in neat piles for an assemble-your-own taco party. Featuring sharp stainless-steel cutting blades, the two interchangeable cones, one for shredding and one for slicing, each slip in and out of the main chute and are secured in place with a twist-lock ring. That’s all--no complicated parts to assemble. Food should be cut into blocks or lengths that fit into the food chamber, and a chart in the user guide specifies which cone to use for which foods. To operate, one hand grips the handle of the shooter and flips on the power switch, while the other hand presses down on the food guide to produce a steady output of shredded or sliced food. We have only used this item for shredding cheese and it has cut our shredding time to almost nothing! Cheese has to be cut to fit into this shredder, but it works very well. Extremely easy to clean - the shredding assembly comes off and can be put into the dishwasher. Easy to use. Well worth it.

Still have the original from the 90s... had to get a new back up.Been making hash browns with the salad shooter for 30 + years now. It's done a great job. 🇺🇸

I went through several different cheese graters from different sites, and returned all. This salad shooter also stated you could use to grate cheese, and it does. It is a slow process, and a little cumbersome holding the heater above the bowl for an extended length of time to grate all of my mozzarella cheese I was making. During process it needed to cool off a few times. So, it works, easy enough; I’m just not sure it’s going to last very long. We’ll see. Although it has worked good enough, I would not recommend it for a lot of cheese processing like I’ve been doing. Best used as a Salad Shooter.

I’ve owned every type of cheese grater and this is the best by far. Makes quick work of grating cheese, doesn’t get clogged up in the grater, and the process of disassembly for cleaning is genius! Today I grated 4 blocks of cheese for a nacho bar and it took 5 minutes. The size is wonderful for storage too. Simply the Best!

We started using this and it is such a time saver. We use it for salads (carrots, cucumber, pear) and for cutting vegetables for dinner, carrots, zucchini, red peppers (become a bit mushy but still works for us). It's so handy and easy to clean.

I bought this as a gift because all the reviews were great, however the one thing it neglegted to say was this product is not a uk plug and to be able to use it you need a convertor (only found this out once gift was opened)Hopefully we can get this sorted and get to use it otherwise it's money wasted

This product conforms to United States of America's electric standards viz., 120 VOLTS , 0.55 AMP, 66 WATT. So, be careful while using in India, use adapter/step down transformer. DO NOT PLUG DIRECTLY INTO INDIAN MAIN ELECTRIC SUPPLY. The chute area is not enough, it can't accommodate even one bigger carrot/celery, have to slice it into two or three. Good for one or two kilo moderate quantity, not suitable for heavy duty. Rest is fine. The plastic is of good quality, logistic team efforts are laudable for their packaging standards.

A bit pricey but it works great. I so far have only used it for grating hard cheese. So easy to use. Great if you have arthritis in your hands. I would recommend this to anyone.
