The drop eyes are 5 inches and the length between eyes is approximately 18 inches ( +/- 1/4 inch.)They are well made, and you get a lot for your money. I did get the 60 lb. and should have ordered a 30 lb test line. The drops are a bit far apart for inshore fishing. I tie my own dropper loops exactly like this with 3-inch loops and 14 inches apart. I will give these a try and also get the 30 lb.These work great because you simply spool off what you need, snip and attach to your swivel. You cut off 4 loops, one for attaching to the main line, 2 for hooks and the last for a sinker. Works well and convenient to carry in your tackle box. I only gave it 4 stars because I thought the loops should be a tad closer. BUT, I would buy again!

BLUF: Great product if the convenience is worth the cost ($1.50 - $2.00 per bottom-fishing rig)Dropper loops can be a little tricky to tie at first, but once you get the hang of it, they are pretty simple to do. Using a homemade jig can make it a lot faster and more consistent. That said, there's nothing faster and more consistent than having them already done for you! When bottom fishing, it's not uncommon to go through several rigs a trip. For years, I have used a jig to pre-make a bunch of them to quickly grab and tie on when on the boat. I usually do two-hook rigs (two droppers and a surgeon's knotted loop for the weight), but I'll occasionally do three-hook rigs. This package makes for 26 two-hook or 20 three-hook rigs and saves a lot of tying. 40-pound mono is pretty cheap, so essentially you are buying dropper loops at 50 cents apiece, wrapped in a really clean dispenser. The spacing between the loops is great for a bottom rig, and the loops easily accommodate a 16 ounce bank sinker (probably larger as the loop can be pulled through the weight, but I only tried a 16 ounce).

This is a huge time and effort saver. I never even thought about doing this myself with spools of line I have laying around but I will now. Consistency overall so far is good. Super easy to re-rig a pole when you get a line break and the loops are pretty good in length and distance apart. Line doesn't seem to spook the fish either. Knots are tied well. Definitely like having this on the boat especially when I have less experienced folks on board which is when I tend to have to replace rigs the most.

I actually ended up using this as a makeshift trotline across a creek, and it worked surprisingly well! I just tied a bunch of leaders onto the loops and let it sit in the water while I fished with my regular rod. I probably had about 15 feet of it in the water, and after an hour or so, I had caught three fish on it. The line is strong and held up well. The loops are well-tied and the perfect size for attaching leaders. It's definitely a convenient option for setting up multiple lines quickly. While not its intended purpose, it proved to be effective.

So, I ordered one of these pre-tied dropper loop spools in 30 lbs test, and loved it so much that I ordered a spool of 60 lbs, too. If you've not the time to DIY, this product is great. Makes rigging quick and easy when you're out on the water.
