This decorative door knocker and viewer is constructed of diecast materials and comes in a satin nickel finish. The vintage design extends a total of 5-1/2 inch tall and features a 180 degree angle of view. Door knocker and viewer can be installed on doors from 1-3/8 inch thick to 1-3/4 inch thick, with a required 9/16 inch outside diameter hole for installation of viewer. An integrated door viewer within this door knocker is designed to help keep you safe when answering your door and is ideal for day or night viewing with adequate exterior lighting. This door knocker and viewer is easy to install and it is used by many. See Prime-Line part S 4793 for a door viewer inside cover. Inside viewer covers (not included with this item) prevent reversed visibility through door viewers from the exterior of the home, increasing the security and privacy of your home.

Great product and easy to install. It only took the right size bit to drill through the door. My closest bit on hand was a 5/8", but the hole should be closer to 9/16" It still looks great and it still works great.

I purchased this for the doors on our condo building to replace the original knockers, which were heavily oxidized. Great value and easy to install. I purchased it because it had the exact same measurements as the original knockers with the screw and peephole the same distance apart. That made it easy to simply remove the old one and install the new one. I would up replacing over 30 knockers in our building. I am hoping the brushed nickel finish will hold up better to the elements than the brass-finish version. I installed these almost a year ago, and so far, so good.

Fair warning 9/16 is not a common bit. I ended up having to buy a 5 piece drill bit set from harbor Freight after neither lowes or Home depot carried the right bit. Since this was going on our front steel door i didn't want to use a spade bit or try a 1/2 bit and get try and force it in. However once i bought the right tool for the job the knocker installed in seconds and looks/sounds great.Pro tip. Use a pilot hole all the way through then using the 9/16 just go half way on either side. Otherwise you'll end up with a nasty looking "bullet hole" vs a clean neat circle.

Was a great fit for my door after I refinished it. Looks more expensive than what it actually is. Just a little adjustment and it was installed pretty fast. Would recommend!

I ordered 14 of these for an apartment project I was working on. The peep holes completely fell apart upon install on almost all and we had to glue them back in.

Easy to install. I had an existing peep hole so all I had to do was remove it, put this one in, and secure with the screw provided. Took about 10 mins to install. Works great.
