These fasteners are anchors with expandable sleeves that slide into pre-drilled holes of hollow walls. A lip wider than the hole prevents the bolts from falling into the hole and behind the hollow walls. Upon fastening, a machine screw is then screwed into the sleeve, causing the anchor to bend, expand, spread and grip against the inside of the drywall. These fasteners fit into a 1/4in. diameter holes, and they will fit up to 9/16in. thick panels. Will self pierce into the desired surface.

I have plaster over drywall..1-2†thick and these were wonderful for hanging shelves.

Works great, these are a must have for drywall anchors. The hold firm once tightened down. I could not find these locally and have used them for years, size of these will depend on the weight of the item you are hanging, but generally will work with any picture. I use a hammer to tap them in after I start a hole with a philips head screwdriver. They wil snap if you ever tighten them.

These worked pretty well for my needs. They work significantly better with a small pilot hole drilled first. The few I attempted to hammer straight into drywall seemed to want to bend or deform. Otherwise it was a decent value and so far they've held up without any issues.

I like these Molly bolts they can be used for hanging all sorts of things .I used these to hang a towel rack and all you do is make a pre-drilled hole a little smaller than the bolt ,tap them in the hole lightly until flush with the wall then just turn the screw clockwise until you feel resistance and then turn the screw counter clockwise once the screw is out put it in the hole of the object you're hanging and screw it back in and when tight you're finished .I like these better than toggle bolts due to you don't need to make such a big pre -drilled hole like you do on toggle bolts .If you go to You-Tube and watch the Molly bolt video how they work .

These are fairly typical molly bolts. There's a plastic protector for the screw tip that, in theory, enables you to just hammer these through your drywall. In practice, you'll want to pre-drill a hole and then hammer the molly bolt through that. These work particularly well for cases where there's not enough room between the drywall and whatever's behind it to support a toggle bolt. I was pulling my hair out trying to get toggle bolts to work on a microwave bracket and eventually gave it up as a lost cause due to the limited in-wall space; 10 minutes and 4 of these bolts and I was done.Granted, they're pricey - about 40 cents a bolt - but are immensely helpful for applications where a stud cannot be used, toggle bolts won't work, and drywall anchors do not provide sufficient load capacity. Amazon makes it easy. I'd buy again, but I'd wager the 50 I bought are going to last me a while.

I wasn't confident these were setting properly on a project, so tested them using a scrap piece of 5/8 drywall, setting them with the Fischer HM Z 3 tool. All five failed to set properly: the legs folded inwards instead of outwards, jamming in the hole and giving the false impression that the fastener is solidly secured. Perhaps these will work better in thinner materials but they are definitely not suitable for 5/8.

These are awesome. High quality anchors. Used in many projects. Most of the pack is gone already and I only drove one of them through the wall (it was mostly my fault). It'd be nice if the plate that sits on the outside of the wall were a tiny bit larger so that you could be a little more aggressive driving them in, but its a trade-off because what you are mounting might not be big enough to cover the plate then.

I bought two bags of these because I need a lot for a project. Needles to say I wasn't impressed with them. the two prongs they have to go into the drywall don't go in deep enough. You also should make a pilot hole before you drive this in. I would say 60% of the time I would need to pull one of these out of the wall (which made a bigger hole) then the ones that worked. If they would add two more prongs to go into the wall or made them our of a better material this would help this product. I would take off the plastic tip because this is where most of the problems start.

Chevilles qui font bien leur travail mais… pourrait être de meilleure qualité quand même. Elles brisent facilement.

The problem is that the little spikes on the flange part of the molly are of such inferior metal that instead of biting into the gyproc, they instantly flatten.. A couple of twists with a screwdriver, and all you have is a 1/2" hole in the wall. To fix the problem, I bought the TOGGLER SnapSkru SP Self-Drilling Drywall Anchors with Screws, Glass-Filled Nylon, Made in the US, for #6 to #10 Fastener Sizes (Pack of 50). These did the job and the 100 molly bolts that I bought are going in the garbage. A total waste of time and money.

So I’m very new to any type of home improvement, but I found these pretty useable to hang things up on my plaster walls. I had a little issues with the teeth grabbing the wall everytime - sometimes it just ripped circles into my wall instead. I don’t know if that’s a quality issue or user error
