The primary bathroom in our house and its lack of ventilation have been an issue for us for a couple of years now. The exhaust fan and open windows have failed repeatedly to dry out the room after we take our showers which leaves the room smelling funky and in need of constant cleaning/airing out. We tried this dehumidifier earlier this week and I was blown away by the results. We both shower at night, so we’ve been starting the machine up when the first of us starts our shower and letting it run overnight and in the morning our once-swampy bathroom is bone dry. For reference, we live in the high desert so our results are just from shower steam, I can’t speak to its performance in a naturally humid environment. It’s very compact, it takes up about as much space on the counter as a 1 pound bag of flour. It is corded, you’ll need an available outlet, which was a little unclear when purchasing. We’ve emptied it everyday but only to avoid having water sitting around, it has the capacity for several more uses. It’s very quiet, undetectable from the adjoining bedroom. I would have no problem sleeping if it were on my nightstand, it’s a very faint white noise.Overall I’m very happy with this unit, I wish I had thought to buy one sooner!

Sure, at first it kinda did the trick. I primarily used it in a small bedroom, near a poorly insulated window that experienced constant condensation/mildew issues throughout the year. The hygrometer I'd place nearby would register somewhat of a dip in humidity readings (but nothing drastic).Quickly realized it'd be a pain in the neck to empty out. Tilting it any manner of ways means that water would spill out from what seemed like a half-dozen different holes, orifices, seams. But at least when it was in operation it didn't leak—for now (spoiler alert). Still, I wish the emptying process was more intuitive. I could never seem to drain it completely; there was always some water left in the tank no matter what direction I tilted it.However, after two months the unit suddenly wouldn't turn back on. I reached out to ProBreeze who promptly responded and, after exchanging visual confirmation about the issue, kindly offered to send me a replacement unit. Nifty, right?Well, fast forward another two months and then the replacement started leaking. Normally upon filling to capacity the unit would shut itself off and its light would turn yellow. Nope! On three occasions within about a two week span, the unit would overflow, leaving a puddle around its base. No yellow light, no automatic shut-off—just wet furniture and carpet. At that point I again reached out to ProBreeze, who did issue a full refund my way. (It should be noted they were quick to reply and very kind in their responses! Kudos to them!) Instead of tossing the unit I gave it to my roommate who placed it on their windowsill and would be extra diligent about emptying the tank (without waiting for any automatic shut-off). Five months later and the unit's now buzzing loudly whenever turned on. We've officially given up on this piece of junk. I know it's only $40, and I know the company gave me a refund. But now I have TWO of these hunks of useless plastic to dispose of.You get what you pay for. And apparently I paid to have negligible dehumidification that was, after a constant battle to control how or when the water stayed in the tank, ultimately only suitable to a very small, confined space. The thing didn't even last the calendar year until winter rolled around... when I need it most.Spend your money elsewhere.

Exactly what I needed in my bedroom. Even if the temp is high, I don’t feel it nearly as much with it running. It’s evident that it works because of the moisture it collects. I empty it about every four days, but I don’t live in high humidity. I imagine the capacity requirement depends on how humid it is in the area and how often you are able to empty it.Very light weight. You can hear it if everything else is silent, but it’s a soft sound. I have it on my desk, but my door is usually open to the rest of the apartment. I would wager its performance will increase if the area was more closed off.Plug and play, basically. There’s a slide out tray that is the bottom half of the unit, and when the water level gets high, turn the unit off and slide out the water collector. drain it by unplugging the black plastic cork. Put the cork back in place once empty, slide water collector back in place, and switch back on. Voila!Well worth the money. It’s been running non-stop for two months now, will update later on.

Loved this little guy. Recommended to us by a family member. Had a total of four years, for around 40usd. So at $10 per year, it really helped knock down the moisture in our small bathroom. We live 5 miles from the Northern California coast, and to say moisture is an issue is putting it very mildly. Symptoms include fast mold developing on the walls, and sour smelling towels. This small unit handled it admirably, running pretty much 24hrs, and we’d empty the tank every 5th day or so. Tried to keep it lint free, and dismantle the tank to rinse with bleach. That would be the only gripe, the tank lid could come off, but it used tabs to hold it together, and you had to very carefully pop them apart without breaking them. We never did thankfully, but it’s a design choice I’d have skipped. So now it’s failure point is the fan has gone very noisy. Not sure if it’s just dirty, or if its bearing is shot from continuous running. Might take it apart to be sure, but we’re also looking at a slightly larger unit. All in all, if it works as designed, it was a good value.

Overall 5 stars - great little unit. Originally, before I ordered this unit - was concerned that the unit would not be powerful enough or the noise level would be annoying. For context, we use this in a standard room size (200 sq ft) with a small bathroom attached - where condensation would accumulate especially during the winter time. Happy to share - this unit rocks! It's quiet and the unit packs quite a punch for its size, and we no longer have condensation along the bedroom windows (we turn on the unit, after a shower - for about 30 mins or so.) Very happy with this purchase overall.

Lo compré con muchas dudas y me ha sorprendido. Realmente absorbe la humedad y es muy silencioso, no se percibe que esté encendido

I have a studio in basement which tends to get humid during monsoon and the humidity tends to bring fungus on walls, but after using this product for couple of weeks i have seen difference in fungus growth and the over all smell is decreased… i dont have any windows in my studio so this was quite a good purchase.. water tank takes 2-2.5 days to fill up the entire tank which i use to water my plants.. I would totally recommend this dehumidifier to anyone who has the same problem as me..I realised that the dehumidifier fills up really fast when my maid mops the floor or if the door to outside is open… I usually have A/c running from 11am-8pm which removes humidity out of my room but between 8pm to next morning it fills half of my tank.. also realised that every morning im not welcomed with the typical moist smell, which for me is worth it..

Worked fine in my cold cellar for about a month then would not turn on when I emptied it, and turned power on. Customer support was excellent. Took a video of the item and received a replacement shortly afterward. The replacement again worked fine until several weeks later when again it did not power back on after I emptied the reservoir. Customer support sent me a full refund which I received very quickly.Customer support was again excellent, but would not recommend this particular model.
