I recently bought this because I bought a Marcus Bonna Bassoon Case, but I didn't like the bocal pouches that came with the case, so I stash this bocal case inside the large pocket of the Bonna case. I only use this bocal case for two bocals, but I like that the case itself is made of strong materials. I think there might be metal or very strong plastic underneath the nylon outer shell, becuse there is almost no flexing or bending of the case. Also, I have a new Leitzinger bocal that is about 15mm longer than my old Heckel 1C, and it fits in here just fine. Very impressed!

I love this product. Much more secure then storing the vocals in my case. I have 2 fox bocals and moosman bocals and they fit fine. Can store up to four at a time

The case is easy to open/unzip, but you have to traction the zipper tab to get it to close, which is inconvenient. The padding insert could be sewn into the binding for ease of use. I have not found an advantage having it loose in the case. For me, 2 bocals fit in the hold-down elastic straps (see photo, left half), but the other half has my Heckel CD1 bocal (silver) somewhat floating next to my Fox (gold). Even with multiple combinations I have not found a configuration where all four are under the elastics. With the central pad and the case zipped tight I’m sure there is little movement, but in an ideal world, I’d like everyone secured. That’s quite a bit of value in this little case you are trying to protect.

Great bocal case!Just remember that you need to bring it with you so you won’t end up forgetting it for rehearsals!
