We have purchased this product several times now and so far we have not had any issues. The installation is a breeze and really updated an older house's interior. Having installed many door hardwares over the years, my only recommendation is to not over tighten the 2 handle screws. Doing so will prevent the mechanism from sticking. If you receive your handles with no grease on the inside springs, I would also recommend putting a small dab on them. This will further insure the handle operation is smooth.

My husband is a retired contractor. He used to only use one of the higher end handsets. He refinished all of our interior doors recently & in the process replaced all the handsets. He felt this brand was a very good substitute for the higher priced handsets.Note that we had an issue with our order. We order the satin nickel, locking version in this set of 10. Once my husband got down to the last 2, he discovered that the boxes each contained a bronze finish lockset, 1 locking, 1 non locking & both used. There was actually paint on the handsets.I contacted the company through Amazon. Offered photos & sent photos of the handsets, They also asked for copies of the label on the outside of the box. The label was a little mangled but it looked like the set of 10 had been returned by a private party (I was able to get the person's name) & then it appeared the entire set was then shipped to us because someone at the return center just slapped another label - leaving the original intact - and sent it on to us.Hubby & I believe the person whose name was on the "from" part of the label bought the set of 10, took out the 2 they wanted, replaced those with their used handsets & returned everything for a full refund.None of this was the fault of the company, though. Once the company had all the photos, they arranged for shipment of the missing 2 handsets. The company was polite & accommodating through the whole process & I understood their need for proof since it was such an unusual situation.All in all - we were very happy with these handsets & also ordered an additional 3 or 4 non locking handsets for other doors.My husband feels these handsets are a great price for a great product & he would definitely buy this product again.

Brass finish was nice and the knobs are good quality. I was worried about a product this cheaply priced but they were good and lock properly. I used Ryobi knob cutting tool (a must buy) and installed these while cutting latch holes with the Ryobi tool. Everything went well and they look great. The packaging was nondescript and inexpensive cardboard but the knobs themselves are quality....so far so good. I am pleasantly surprised that something this inexpensive can actually be good and look nice as well. I had zero problems installing them. Happy hunting fellow Amazoners!Update: I purchased two more as I am happy with these in my rental home. I replaced a couple of crunchy doorknobs and one that had no privacy lock. These are inexpensive and look nice. They work fine so far.

Because the face plate is rectangle and the slot on my door was oval, I had to use a small chisel to make slight modification to the door. It's not a hard task and was well worth the extra effort.

They are simple to install and packaged securely. The bronze is matte and the underlying highlights have a glitzy quality that make these feel very high end. In hand they feel strong and high quality while opening doors. The locks grind a bit at first but this goes away with use.

Pack of ten for the price of 6 at Home Depot. Good quality and look great. The only issue so far is the locking mechanism on them. They tend to hang up and you have to use a little more effort to unlock them. Could be because they are new and need some usage ti get them working better. But overall very satisfied with them.

Ordered the 10pkn for $169 on Monday May 1, 21023 at 9:30pm and received them the next day at 5pm!Installed 6 handles on 40 year old doors and everything worked well (had to trim the door cut out a little because new handles are slightly bigger than old ones). Home Depot sells very similar ones for $34 a piece. These were half the price.
