Very bright sound for an 18" cymbal. Sounds more like a 16. Very splashy when heavily crashed, and sounds like a hi hat bottom when used as a ride. Arrived warped, which didn't help the tone.

Really good as a crash. I don't have any other brass cymbals that sound this good.

I'm not a professional drummer by any means but I know a crash is supposed to sound a lot better than thus product. It works for the price and that's the only reason I'd ever recommend it to someone just getting into drums. I picked up a drum set for 50 dollars at a flea marker and the only thing missing was the crash and ride. Again, this crash works for someone learning but I wouldn't recommend for someone looking for any serious quality sounds to be made.

A bit brighter than i expected from an 18" ride, but at this price, i'm super happy to have a crash i can ride on and a ride i can crash on.
