This microwave steamer's size of 2 quarts is ideal for cooking enough servings of veggies for my family and allowing me to do it quickly and easily. Because of its size, I am able to prepare a wide range of vegetables at the same time, which helps me save a lot of time and work. This microwave steamer can accept a wide variety of vegetables, allowing you to steam anything from broccoli and carrots to cauliflower and green beans while preserving the vegetables' natural flavors and nutrients. Because of the steamer's solid construction, I am certain that it will be able to resist regular usage without being warped or cracked. After a wonderful dinner, it is much simpler to clean up thanks to the function that allows the item to be washed in the dishwasher. The usefulness of this microwave steamer is what really sets it apart from the competition. Because of its innovative construction and vented top, this piece of cookware generates a steam atmosphere inside itself, which results in the veggies being cooked uniformly while retaining their inherent colors and textures. In contrast to the usual techniques of boiling vegetables, which often result in mushy vegetables, I've discovered that this approach yields vegetables that are tender-crisp and tasty. The steamer is quite simple to use. After adding some water to the bottom of the dish, placing the veggies in the steamer basket, covering the dish with the vented lid, and then placing it in the microwave are the only steps required. It is a straightforward procedure that helps me save valuable time, which is particularly helpful on harried weeknights when I want to put up a nutritious dinner in a hurry.

This works perfectly and is easy to use. I use it almost daily. I love to steam broccoli and carrots in it. You just slice them up, put them in, add a little water and cook in the microwave for a few minutes. The holes in the lid allow you to pour the water out without needing a strainer or opening the lid. Vegetables come out the perfect combination of tender and crisp. Easy to clean and store.

This microwave steamer is very versatile. With ample vents on the lid, you can cook/reheat anything without the contents spilling over; it's not just for steaming vegetables. It's great for rice, oatmeal, and ramen, too.The bowl is very sturdy and well-made, with handles for ease of carrying to and from the microwave. The lid has handles, too, which line up with the bowl's handles when properly latched. With practice, you'll find that the lid "latches" easily. You simply line up the latches on the bowl and lid, then use your thumbs to push the lid in place. That's easier than using the handle on the top of the lid.Though I think this is overpriced, I decided to get it because it's not easy to find individual pieces of microwave cookware like this. Glassware is always readily available, but I like plastic, and most of what's available in plastic are storage containers, which are not microwave safe--those containers and lids warp, spots can melt, and they can leech chemicals into the food. So I was happy to get this despite the price. It's worth it.

This is a great vegetable steamer! It is solidly constructed and works great! I've used it over and over, washing it in the dishwasher after use, and it still looks brand new!

I haven't used it but the size is perfect for microwave, I'm thinking it's big enough to make enough veggies for 4 people.

I love this steamer. I used it for the first time to steam carrots and they were perfectly cooked. I love the fact that the lid provides easy drainage of excess water prior to removing. I can't wait to try it on my other favorite vegetables. Easy to use and easy to clean. I recommend this steamer to anyone who likes the taste of fresh veggies.

I'm a single guy that lives alone. I do like cooking and do so everyday. I prefer to either steam or blanch most veggies. While easy It's a bit involved, gotta pay attention and takes up a burner. I got this on a whim not expecting much from it. I don't really use nuke boxes often not much of a fan, but they do have their uses. All I have to say is this works.I've been experimenting with it to check it out and it does what is says on the box. I suspect this is somewhere between blanching and steaming. As you just put in the veggies and some water and nuke it. There isn't a tray/rack whatever separating the veggies from the water. A few reviewers claimed it is not a steamer because of the lack of a rack. So what, I don't care. All that matters to me is the result. Tender with tooth feel not mushy. This thing seems to be all about winging it. Close enough, approximation. So far I've tried it with frozen mixed veggies, and broccoli. Fresh broccoli and asparagus. I also made mashed potatoes just out of curiosity. And it worked really well. More water then with other stuff and longer. Came out with very little water left. Some butter, milk and grated cheese and it was good to go.I think at first it may seem confusing. As some people like measurements. It is literately some veggies a shot glass or two of water and a few minutes. Less time is better as more can always be added. My microwave likes between 3-6 minutes for most stuff and ten for the potatoes.I like it so much I got both sizes.
