I did not realize the wine opener has two steps to increase efficiency while opening a wine bottle. You can watch it in the video. This really makes opening bottles easy.

This is a sturdy impressive opener. But I have broken the cork a couple times. I must be doing something wrong such as pulling at the wrong time or angle. So practice first before you use on a valued bottle.

It's hard not to "ooh" and "ahh" over the Carbon E-6 Professional Waiter's Corkscrew Wine Bottle Opener when you first take it out of its box. It's sleek and attractive in the way an all-stainless steel tool can be. It's solid and well-built. This corkscrew's beauty is definitely more industrial than elegant, and I think it will appeal to people who prefer function without frills. It has a 2-step, hinged fulcrum for easier cork removal which is a nice practical design aspect because single step fulcrums are tricky to use properly. It also has a foil cutter, and a bottle opener. The feel of the brushed (non-polished) stainless steel is smooth but a little powdery-feeling. A few times I've even looked at my fingertips to see if any powder from the material had rubbed off, but of course nothing has. Otherwise it's got a good balanced feel in the hand.There are a few things to note about this corkscrew:- The locking and spring action of the corkscrew and the foil cutter are very tight. The positive of this is that they will probably last a long time. The negative is that opening and closing these tools require a good deal of finger strength to open and careful attention to close it without hurting yourself.- As you can see in the product photos, the handle tapers to a sharp edge (forming a "V" and not a "U"). The resulting edge is not sharp enough to cut, but it's pointy enough to jab.- The foil cutter has a side to side wiggle when it is open. It doesn't affect its ability to cut foil, but it's something to be aware of.
