The unit is well marketed but take the glowing descriptions with a grain of salt. Out of the box it is the heaviest backpack vacuum you will ever strap on to you back. The suction is excellent at first. After a few minutes of use the power of the cleaning drops off precipitously till it will not pick up light dust.The unit blows intensely hot air out of it's exhaust the entire time, hotter than I've ever experienced before. Within about 10 minutes of use it shuts off on it's own and will not turn back on. You need to stop cleaning and go read a book until the motor cools down. This really prolongs your cleaning chore for the day.I assumed I just needed to change the dirt bag more often and did so when they were just 1/3 full. Not very good process as the bags are not cheap. Manufacturer requires the unit to be returned before any replacements will happen. Of course the original packaging was tossed.Think hard before purchasing.

I use a backpack commercial vacuum in my business all day and I decided to go with this one over my current one that needed replaced. I was pleased with the items it came with for the lower price but when it arrived I was disappointed. It was like a heavy scuba tank. The side was dented and the padding on the back doesn’t go all the way down so there is two big bolts that dig into your back if you move too much. I ended up retuning it and paying the extra money to replace with the other brand.

We have four cats and a dog, and over 3000 square feet of floor space to keep clean. We are getting all solid surface flooring next month, and I wanted something that can clean the entire space in a short period of time. We have two robot vacs, but they can’t keep up with all the fur! I researched backpack vacuums, and came across this Prolux vacuum. I did not know what to expect when it arrived, but I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging and the greeting insert. It came with clear instructions, accessories and extra bags. It is very solidly built, and looks like what it is—a quality commercial grade vacuum cleaner. It was pretty easy to attach the hose and wands, they all snapped and screwed securely into place, and the bag was already installed and it was ready to go. When I put it on, it was like wearing a backpack, very comfortable due to the wide padded straps, and the 50 foot cord allowed me to go to town on the floor! The carpet tool had no beater bar, but it did not matter, it sucked up everything in sight. I cleaned our stairs in record time due to how wide the attachment is and the fact that I was not lifting a canister or upright on each stair below the one I was cleaning. I like that the cord is a standard extension cord, so if something happens to it, it can be easily replaced. The suction is powerful, I used the duster attachment to clean the AC vent and thanks to the long wand, it was easy to reach. The power switch is easy to turn on and off, and the sound was of powerful suction, and not at all obnoxious. I imagine that this vac would excel in the professional cleaning business, but I can say for sure it works well around the house as well!

My wife and I run a co-working office off a few thousand square feet and had been using standard upright vacuum to clean. The Prolux vacuum is a huge upgrade for several reasons. The extra long cord allows me to reduce the number of times I have to unplug and replug in the vacuum. The suction is great especially along the walls. Where old upright vacuum would leave dirt behind the Prolux picked up. The smaller head allows me to go under desks and cabinets and chairs that upright would not. The straps were able to be adjusted to fit my 5’4’ body and for the most part it’s comfortable but a little heavy. Assembly was straight forward however it was a little difficult to know when suction tube was inserted fully into unit. Still need to try out how accessories work when attached to wand. Overall impressed

This product is amazing! It is not heavy and comes with several different attachments. The one issue with this product, and something to be aware of, is that when my husband twisted on of the attachments on, it got stuck and he could not get it off. He had to break it off, unfortunately, so we are down one attachment.
