I have bought this vacuum twice. I own a small cleaning company and the first time I purchased it did not last long. Harness and the tube and other vacuum pieces started breaking and falling apart, it lasted me about 5 months. I decided to purchase again, I thought it would last longer this time or it might be more durable than the last one but same thing happened. The tube connection broke already about 1 month ago as well as the back pack harness after only having it for about 4 months. Also the carpet vacuum piece stopped suctioning and instead was blowing air out along with the trash the canister already had inside. It was not a good investment to my company. Instead of making my cleaning services easier it made it harder. Do not buy if you have a cleaning company or plan to use it consistently it won’t last you long as all.

This vacuum is great when I’m cleaning houses because it’s lightweight, the cord is long and when I need to clean the filter (about once every other month) it is so easy to rinse off. The filter is a very sturdy flexible plastic-like material. The vacuum will definitely lose its suction power if the filter needs to be clean. It was initially difficult to fit the hose onto the vacuum, but that is the only complaint I have so far. I’ve had this vacuum for about 3 months now and I am very glad I switched to a backpack style because it’s way easier than having to lug around a canister or push around a bulky upright vacuum. The suction is not as powerful as my dyson but it gets the job done and still picks up dirt and hair just fine.

The power definitely decreases as you use it. Also, I do not like the design of the hose coming out of the top of the canister with free swivel. They should make this a bit tighter so it doesn't allow the hose which is heavy to slam into furniture especially antiques with glass doors. I've had a couple of heart attack moments with it! Also heats up to the point where shorts and t-shirt is all you want to wear while vacuuming.

The Prolux was a great investment ….. This is the 1st with a carpet attachment and I love it …. I clean the Church that I attend for a living and use it everywhere up and down my ladder to clean light housings out, stairwells, ceilings, louver vents and the power brush attachment fits between the pew feet perfectly etc. However, there are a few things that could be addressed and changed …. ( 1 ) The suction hose is about a foot too long …. ( 2 ) The telescopic tube could extend another foot by a third extension …. ( 3 ) The crevice tool ought to be 18 inches in length over all …. ( 4 ) The upper harness clasp strap needs to be lower on the chest and not so close to the neck …. ( 5 ) The harness adjusting straps should be stitched higher up on the harness with more adjustment room ( 6 ) the short electrical connector that connects between the flex hose and the upper power head needs to be another 2 inches in length so that the connections inside the short electrical connector does not separate by being stretched over a period of time, I have had to plug it back in a few times ( 7 ) I replaced the 50 foot power cord with a commercial heavy duty 50 foot power cord and it increased the power of the vacuum tremendously ( 8 ) I keep the microfiber filter cleaned out with water pressure from the tap, the brush does ok to clean it in between task but the water works best and is dry the next day to install and go at again.I understand that everyone’s body structure is different and the engineering is doing their best to accommodate the operators body fit …. I also clean our local laundromat and use a lightweight backpack vacuum there as well but without a carpet attachmentGod Bless and thank you

Overall, this is a nice little vacuum; well built, easy to use, and parts seem like they will last. Suction power starts out ok, not great, but given the hose length, it works well for picking up debris. After about ~25 minutes, suction has noticeably decreased. Within ~35 minutes, top filter is clogged and will need to be cleaned. I can only vacuum a fairly clean 50'x25' room before the filter needs cleaning. with the vacuum no where near full. The top filter is in a bad location and way too small. To clean it, you have to also clean the top of the dirt container. After cleaning the room above, I still have another 7,000 square feet to go meaning will have to clean the filter 6 times. While this may be built for commercial use, its a very inefficient vacuum to use. I can also find no replacements for the top filter. I would like to have some extra clean ones ready to go.
