I needed to replace my vacuum cleaner as my previous Riccar had died. This seems to be a worthy replacement for my previous vacuum. I used it immediately upon arrival and was very pleased with the suction power. The on-board tools are nice and the cord length is very much appreciated.

I recently had my apartment carpets professionally cleaned; the individual vacuumed first; cleaned, then vacuumed again using a Prolux 6000. Initially I was impressed with the ease of use, the extra long power cord and the quietness of the vacuum. Living in an apartment I can hear the shriek of other less well made vacuums. The 6000 is quiet!Previously I had an inexpensive imported cordless stick vacuum and while it did a fair job, it was, at times, awkward to empty and didn't have a strong suction capability. My new Prolux 6000 is as impressive to use myself as I imagined it might be. The vacuum is powerful and QUIET; really like the long cord and the included onboard accessory tools. It also has great suction, picking up more dirt and dust than my old vacuum.The Prolux 6000 comes securely packaged for shipment. The instructions and product information are humorously and easily understood. Even an 80 year old man can easily assemble and use this USA based vacuum. I highly recommend the Prolux 6000 upright vacuum. This review, my first, is my personal opinion and is unsolicited.

This vacuum is not meant for thin carpet. I have very high traffic areas that get very dirty. I just vacuumed and could feel the dirt hitting my feet every time I pulled the vacuum back.

Sweeper works fine . But after a few uses a small piece broke off . I have spent a couple months emailing back and forth with CS . Sending pics and describing the part over and over and over . They sent 2 parts that I Don't need..! I just can't seem to get anyone to pay attention and actually look at the pictures I sent .!!?? A piece of plastic broke off of the hinge were the flapper attaches . They have sent a flap and the metal spring which are fine .. !! I need the piece that those items attach to .. ?! But sadly , that is too hard to figure out.

The thing I disliked about this vacuum is the wheels squealed like I sucked up a bird. My husband fixed the noise because you could hear it all over the house. It has nice qualities as parts are metal.

So I waited to review this to really see how it worked. I am in love with this vacuum! It was easy to put together. It has an extra long cord which is great. It has a quick release metal bottom plate for easy access to the brush and belt. It picks up all the cat hair off the rug. Totally worth it, if your on the fence, buy it you won't be sorry!

This vacuum is ridiculous. First of all, there is no height adjustment. The only thing you can do is adjust the suction by opening a small door to let some of the suction out. Second, the tool attachment takes forever to use. It is a whole process just to attach a hose. Third and most irritating of all....It was constantly plugged with hair and debris. I had to practically dismantle the entire machine to find the clog. I have NEVER had a vacuum do this before. This vacuum is super heavy also. I ended up putting it on the curb for free!
