The Electrolux Sanitaire SC5845 Quiet Clean upright vacuum cleaner delivers 135 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air flow, has a washable sealed high-efficiency particulate absorption (HEPA) filtration system, and has an on-board 10 ft. stretch attachment hose, extension wand, crevice tool, and dusting brush for different cleaning tasks. The handle has an automatic locking system with a foot pedal release for usability, and drops down flat for cleaning under furniture and for storage. This vacuum cleaner has earned a Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Seal of Approval (bronze rating) for soil removal and indoor air quality in the commercial use vacuum category. This vacuum is wonderful. It is not the flimsy, tip-over-with-the-touch-of-a-finger machine that most modern vacuums seem to be at the present time. It is solidly built and is already 90 per cent assembled upon receipt. It has the added advantage of a 40-foot cord and the largest dirt dispenser container I have seen available today. We have two dogs that shed like crazy and this machine is more than capable of handling the volume. The dust canister is a little tricky to replace until you get the hang of it but it does not take long to master the process. The only semi-drawback to this vacuum is that it is a bit heavy and that might present an issue for some individuals. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone in search of a new one.

Vacuum is relatively quiet. The HEPA filter works well to contain the dust rather than just blow it all around. The long cord lets you plug it in and vacuum a large area. All of a downstairs in all but the largest houses. We passed the Kirby around the house and then this vacuum. I was surprised on how much the Kirby missed that this vacuum didn't. I now have 2 of these. 1 for the upstairs and 1 for the downstairs.

This is a wonderful vacuum. Like one reviewer said the dust cup is a little tricky to take out and replace. But all in all this is a GREAT vacuum. Powerful suction.
