I have an old driveway and there are some cracks where weeds just love to pop up. I've tried everything from manually pulling them to using concentrated vinegar to kill them. I've come to the conclusion that nothing is going to end them permanently, so I wanted a solution to remove them fast.First thing to note, the inner threads on a large propane tank are reverse threaded from what you are used to. I thought this just didn't fit at first, so I messaged the seller. They politely told me to try turning counter clockwise. That did the trick and even at 42, I'm still learning new things. (in my defense, I've never used the inner threads because I've only ever connected them to a grill)This torch comes in a few pieces, but it is super simple to assemble and also comes with a few spare parts should you ever need them. Seems to be decent quality steel for the tubes and brass for the fittings.Once I figured out that the threads are reversed, it connected easily to a standard size propane tank like you would use with a grill. I will note that you have to turn the flame adjustment valve quite a bit to get it to open enough for gas to start coming out. Just turn until you can hear gas coming out the end, hit the piezo igniter and your ready to start burning weeds or whatever else you are tired of looking at.In addition to incinerating those pesky weeds, it also works great to start a fire in the outdoor pit or get a chimney of charcoal going for the smoker. Just be smart about it and keep in mind that you are dealing with something that can burn you or explode if you don't take proper care and keep the use outdoors.One last thing to note. When I asked about what was going on with why it wouldn't fit, the seller responded very quickly and kindly despite me being the clear and present problem with the success of attachment. I have no problem recommending this product or the seller.

Torch was great out of the box-easy to assemble and very practical. Burned the weeds on the driveway for it seems like an hour and decided to use the small screw on tank that I thought was almost empty-I found the thing gets pretty good fuel mileage. I found this way the torch is so much mobile. Then we had already planned to cook on the pit so I used it also to light it. Hint-I have an adaptor that will fill the small propane cylinders off of a 25lb tank-bought mine at Northern Tool years ago and Amazon may sell it too-will save you tons of money due to these are $7-8 a piece now. Ok, the only complaint and reason I gave 4 stars is the ignitor stopped working after lighting the torch about 5-6 times-it's sparking but not lighting the flame. I would recommend and was worth the money to not have to mix up grass killer and lug the sprayer around the wet yard.

The thing that always worries me: Is it going to leak. Well, the answer is no, it doesn't. Does it work? Yes, very well actually. This has a lot of potential uses. I have a large property, and the driveway gets weeds and grass growing up through the cracks, this will burn them. The two fire pits I have, this will light them. The stone walkways and stone around the pool with the weeds, this will take care of that too. The stone around the playground with the weeds that never stop growing there? Yup, you guessed it, it will take care of that too.I've been wanting a torch like this for a while, so when I saw this, it was a no brainer. It takes 1lbs propane bottles directly and that makes it light and really mobile. It also came with an adapter hose for your standard 20lbs grill propane tank for larger jobs, but I don't see myself needing to lug that heavy tank around with this, so I'll be sticking to the smaller bottles. It also came with a couple of extra clamps and an o-ring in a bag labeled as spare parts, so they thought of it all.Long story short, it doesn't leak, it works, it has multiple uses and multiple connection options. It has a built in ignitor, and it's long enough that I don't have to hunch over and hurt my back to use it. 5 stars all day.

I have used this product for melting ice off of a sidewalk and it works good as long as you make sure the melted ice/water is completely dry, or it will refreeze and be just as dangerous as before. I also use this for lighting my yard waste burn pit/pile and burn barrel. I haven't used it for weed removal since I believe that the4 weeds will just return in a short time, so waste of fuel to me. This product is made pretty well and should last as long as you are careful and aren't too rough with it.

This tool seems promising. I did a quick test run after it arrived, and the ignition was simple and the flame was strong. The long handle is comfortable and feels secure in my hand. I'm particularly looking forward to using it on the weeds in my yard. Last year, I spent hours pulling them by hand, which was incredibly time-consuming and hard on my back. I'm hoping this will make the process much more efficient. I can already picture myself easily clearing the weeds from my brick patio. The construction appears sturdy, and I appreciate the option to use it with either a small propane cylinder or a larger tank. I'm optimistic that this will be a valuable addition to my "gardening" tools.
