Kayaks are plastic or some variation. So, screwing anything in is a challenge. I use rivets liberally but this design doesn’t allow that option.

I put this on my kayak as soon as I received it. It fit on like a glove. When I was fishing I kept loosing my paddle in the water. Now I haven't lost it once.
