Honestly, I haven't had to use it yet, but I don't foresee any issues with it when I do use it. In one of my pictures, I show some scuffing that likely occurred in transit, but it doesn't affect the functionality of the recovery ring. It will surely see worse treatment from me while in waiting to be used and probably while being used. The groove that you will most commonly use is polished nicely without any burrs or scratches to damage your synthetic rope. I would say it is middle of the road on price, but the quality seems to be above that where it counts.

I have one of the old spin around one half, feed cable through, put together, add a shackle snatch blocks that weighs several pounds and and makes a racket in the area under my seat. But with synthetic rope and accessories such as soft shackles it's kind of dated.I ordered this kind of skeptical, but when I started inspecting it and goofing around with it I was like "this is brilliant!" It is perfect for a soft shackle onto a tree starp or other hard point with synthentic rope. It's smooth enough there is less friction than your rope will get on a proper synthetic rope style solid fairlead.Not to mention there are no bearings or moving parts to get dirt or mud in. All around this thing is an absoloute winner and has earned a place in my sport side by side and the old Warn one is being relegated to the farm one with a steel cable on the winch.
