The assembled stand looks nice, but I had to put a lot of force to get the wood crosspiece to fit. When I tried to disassemble it, part of the cross piece broke off.UPDATE: After I submitted the above review, I received a considerate and concerned message from Puersi stating that they were sorry for the problem I had with their book stand. They even offered to send me another one with the problem corrected, for free! I am therefore changing my review to 4 stars for their excellent customer service and willingness to fix the problem. I would advise anyone ordering this product in the future to contact Puersi, or leave a review, if they have a similar problem with the reading stand so that they can make it right.

The first one I ordered arrived broken (was not packaged well), so returned it and the replacement arrived undamaged. It is very easy to assemble, and feels secure (not wobbly) once together. It holds my 200+ page cookbook with a little room to spare.

I am so glad I decided to finally get a cookbook holder. It had not really crossed my mind until I happened to see this one on Amazon. Previously I used tin cans, utensils, and/or my elbow to hold open my cookbook while working in this kitchen.I love bamboo, so I jumped at the chance when I saw this model. Assembly is as easy as fitting together a child's toy, though it takes some physical effort to slide the bamboo pieces together because they fit very tightly. Instructions are on the back of the box, but I had already assembled it on sight before even looking at the instructions.I have included pictures as reference including one holding a fairly thick book. I also tried it with my largest, Betty Crocker binder from the 90's and it too holds it in place.If you are like me and cook very often, this is a good small investment in keeping things running smoothly. Not always do I use a cookbook, but it is great to finally have something to assist me in my limited counter space on those days where I am following a recipe.

I like this book holder and it does the job of keeping my cook book in place. I only wish it were a bit longer/wider, maybe about 4 inches (2 inches each way) for larger books. The quality is good and I like the look of it. Bigger would be better, though. Maybe have multiple sizes to choose from. ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Arrived quickly and was as described. I really like the size, it’s not too big or too heavy like other stands I have seen. I do not keep it on my counter all the time so it is easy to put away after use. I also use it to hold my iPad to watch or listen to a podcast or a movie while I’m cooking dinner.

I like the simple design and sturdy construction of this cookbook stand, but I find the stand to be a bit limited with which of my cookbooks are able to be accommodated adequately. Large cookbooks are a bit difficult to accommodate. Functionality of the stand is a bit touch-and-go, as the stand is a bit narrow and the front metal holder is not adjustable, causing cookbooks to not lay flat when opened. The thick sturdy wood pieces are nicely finished and have smooth edges. The design of the stand is simple yet quite attractive. The crosspiece, however, took a bit of effort to get it to slide into place properly and fully. I had anticipated the crosspiece to be easier to attach. This bamboo cookbook stand has gift-quality packaging.

I needed a stand that was portable and yet sturdy and when I saw the PUERSI Cookbook Stand I ordered it and it is perfect and just like it was pictured. The stand is composed of 4 pieces: a wire that easily slips into 2 round holes on the 2 tallest pieces of wood and this wire once installed, holds the item in place on the stand; and the 3 pieces of wood that have matching cut out portions and easily slip together to form the stand. The stand is sturdy and will hold a large cook book, a item I want to display, or any variety of other uses. The stand did have a slight odor when I first unpacked it, but it disappeared about 15 minutes after it was exposed to the open air. This is a great stand that works just as it was described and I easily rate it 5+ out of 5.
