This incubator is so useful for pet fosters with bottle babies. It's pretty well made and gets the job done!

I can but rarely bring myself to give anything made of plastic a 5-star rating, we're only choking the planet and ourselves to death with it. That being said however, decent alternative options are few and the material performs, so we're stuck with it. This is pretty versatile unit actually besides an incubator it can function as a little reptile terrarium. It's easy to assemble and set up, and a pretty complete kit, certainly enough to get going with. 85$ feels pricey, but that's my old-school "budgetmeter", and if it saves even 1 life, it was well-spent regardless. Several years ago, I took on a teeny tiny 2-day old jack russell puppy that was the runt, and the dame gave up immediately - she buried her actually. That's how Pockets the puppy came to be in my world, and if I've ever needed an incubator - it was then; there's been a few times since as well, I could have saved a life with one, so I snagged this when I had the chance. Much easier than incubating in a shoebox with warm water bottles and a towel or just outright in my pocket, which is what/where I kept her most of the time - until she outgrew it. In honor of her, I'll always be ready for the next time; I do a lot of rescue/rehab, etc. some years, none in others - another good tool for my 'critter kit'.

This is a nearly complete little incubator for a litter of puppies, kittens, or, really you could even put some baby chickens in here, too if you wanted. The temperature controller / heat lamp works pretty well at warming things up and keeping the temp in a decent range. It comes with pads, but honestly I normally use a nice, soft terry cloth towel. But it's included, which is nice. I like that the whole thing sets up in a few minutes, and the light is adjustable depending on how much output you want.It also has a connection for oxygen, but of my 2 oxygen tanks, 1 is for my torches, and 1 is empty, lol. But honestly I probably won't need that unless it's an "ICU" type issue. Fingers crossed. But, once again, if you need it, it's there. The only things it's missing is 1, a way to control humidity...it has a humidity indicator, but no way to actually control it. I'll probably put a warm mist humidifier right next to it if I need to add some humidity. And 2, a separate temperature indicator. It has the set temp on the unit itself, but I don't want to rely totally on that, and it's always good to have a temp reading at the bottom as well as the top of the cage. So I plan to add another digital thermometer to the inside, probably in the lower corner. That way I know for sure what's going on in there. In all, it's a really decent little incubator. Quick to setup, easy to clean, and is almost a complete system. 4 stars.
