I read through dozens of canned dog food options on Amazon and settled on Beyond by Purina. Meat is the first ingredient in both recipes included in this 12 can package of Beyond by Purina. For the Chicken, Carrot & Pea Recipe, there are 5 ingredients (less added vitamins and minerals). The other 2 ingredients not mentioned in the title are chicken broth and liver. This ground dog food is not a wet slurry, it is rather dense, and looks and smells fresh.Same can be said for the Beef, Potato & Green Beans Recipe. There are slightly more ingredients in this recipe (8 ingredients in all) but all ingredients are pronounceable. This too is ground dog food that looks and smells fresh.I buy canned ground dog food as a topper for my dog's kibble. Wet food because it increases her interest in eating and finishing her breakfast and dinner. The 12 can package of Beyond dog food also includes 6 cans of each recipe mentioned above. This enables me to provide some variety in flavors to my dog. This really cuts down on the boredom she was exhibiting with her plain dry kibble.My dog and I are definitely pleased with this purchase!

Great value for the money. My dogs are 13 & 16 (2 different breeds, and both rescues). The quality of their food is important to me and I've been using this brand because I know that their longevity is due not only to my love for them but to the food they digest land their living conditions. RESCUE SENIOR DOGS!

My extremely picky dog that won’t eat 95% of the commercial made foods we have tried over the years so now eats raw (loves it) LOVES this Beef, Liver & lamb recipe and the Turkey, liver & duck recipe and the high protein texas beef. thats it, she likes no other except for a canadae fish one but, only if mixed with raw ground turkey.. these here she will eat asis on days her owner forgot to take her pre-made foodsaved raw food portions our of freezer the day before.. I’ve started feeding these to her every day to make things easy on me right now however, twice a day i mix a half a can with 4oz of her favorite raw protein lean ground turkey so she doesn’t turn around and decide she doesn’t like the wet food anymore like she has in the past.. Am thankful i was able to try the texas beef version through vine for we never would of tried these (high protein ones without the fillers only) otherwise after wasting thousands on pet foods for her over the years..my one complaint, and why 4 stars only, is that 4 cases each later of this flavor & the turkey duck one and we have yet to get a can that actually contains 13 ounces of food/gravy in it!! the most we have literally gotten in a can is 11.5 ounces with 10.5-11 ounces being the norm and that is with scrapping all the gel like gravy out of can.. most won’t notice this discrepancy but, since i feed based on calorie needs and therefore weight all my dogs food portions out i have noticed!! quite honestly i would of stopped buying this brand after first or second case if it wasn’t for us being very limited on what our picky with a sensitive tummy dog will regular eat...no one normally likes to pay for food that ends up being almost 2 cans less of food per case after all..Food itself is great according to my dog and i like than it doesn’t have a lot of junk in it like most so called high protein wet foods that use peas & lentils (like this brands other wet food versions that do have some in them).. she has done well on these since day one and when fed alone there are no runny poo issues, no vomiting issues and no driving me nuts with her loud gassy tummy that other pet foods would cause.. because of this i overlook the missing ounces of food in each can and still feel they are worth the cost but, maker really needs to update their labels to say 11.5 ounces so to honestly represent the amount of food you will only get out of can!!

Gave her a can of this while we were traveling, and now she demands it every night for dinner. And I do mean, demand. She will get up on my chair arm of my recliner and stare me straight in the eye and lightly woof at me. This continues until I rise from the chair and go fetch her a can for her dinner. She is not spoiled at all, Right?

[UPDATED] For the umpteenth time, the subscribe and save shipping has been messed up. Between shipping late, or errors during shipping (UPS is a bad shipper to use; why aren't they using USPS?), products are not arriving when needed -- or not at all. Terrible. I will keep reducing stars as long as this keeps happening.-----This product is great for my dog, and it doesn't have a lot of filler ingredients I see with other dog food. This particular flavor (the Turkey and Sweet Potato) does not have added phosphates, which is really important for older dogs and dogs with kidney problems.I am very disappointed with the Subscribe and Save service from Amazon, however. There have been several times with this product or other Subscribe & Save products when the items do not ship in time and therefore do not arrive on time. There have even been 1 or 2 times that the product never shipped, and I didn't get notice of any problems until much later. The whole point of signing up for this service is to get products when we need them without having to re-order.I've had better luck with just ordering things when I need them, or, better yet, just go to the store. The big discount store (*mart) sells this brand for less per can.
