So I have two puppies (brussels griffons) and one has allergies. He was very scratchy and constantly licking and I had originally thought it was fleas but after checking him constantly, he never had them, not to mention that he was on a flea & heartguard medication. Anyways so long story short, we took him to the vet and he recommended that we try changing his diet to see if it was a food allergy. He recommended this food. My puppy has now stopped itching and licking constantly and seems to feel so much more comfortable in his skin. Another PLUS, my other female dog always had problems with her weight but after switching her diet to this as well (it was easier to feed them the same), she has slimmed down and is now incredibly active. Both of my puppies are striving because of this!

My Rottweiler recently was diagnosed with allergy issues, and the vet recommended this brand. This product sure is pricey, compare with the ones at Costco. I am giving my Rottweiler to try this brand, and he loves it and ate his new food all immediately. I appreciate its pure and clean ingredient. It will take time to see if it helps his allergy issues, but as long as my dog loves and will eat this food, I am happy.I will post back when I see any improvements.

We have recently had problems with this food. We chose this food because we have a very allergic 11 year old Westie.Our problem has been with the consistency of the food when wet. Being a terrier, he inhales his food and doesn't chew it. Several times he has thrown up long "tubes" of undigested food shortly after eating. We didn't blame it on the food until the last time feeding it, just after eating he started choking and then started acting weird, running around, coughing, etc. My wife and I pried open his mouth and couldn't find the problem. Finally we got a flashlight and looked again and found an accumulation of pasty food on the roof of his mouth and down the back of his throat which he couldn't clear out. That's the last time we fed him this food. We have switched his food to California Natural no grain and not only is he doing fine but seems even less allergic to it because of the very few ingredients in it.

While this food is on the pricey side, it worked wonders for my English Bulldog. As she got older, she started to develop allergies to her previous dog foods and shampoos. She became irritable and would do this odd licking/scratching thing that drove both of us crazy. Our local vet recommended Hydrolyzed dog food and after a few days of using this, she turned into a different dog! It was wonderful and you could tell she started to feel better. Definitely would recommended to any owner that has a dog with allergies.

I have a lot of hope using this food for my dogs skin allergies and ear infections. This company has the BEST costumer service I've ever had in an online shopping experience. They had their vet talk to me about my dogs problems and help me with other ways I could help het. You need to try this for your dog if you are having constant ear infections and itchy skin. Kirby, my yellow lab, has had these problems her whole life and I just continue to pay vet bills to band aid fix her problems. This food has already reduced the itching and we have only been on it a week. It takes 12 weeks to see the full results and I'm already seeing changes. Please try this if your dog is suffering like mine was...it's a permanent fix to the problem, and I promise this company will help you every way they can to make sure you understand the product and how it works!

Good stuff for my dog. I have a 100% french bull and she is allergic to almost everything including breathing. lol. I went to vet and they put her on this stuff. I moved to another state and was wondering if I could buy this online instead of going to vet and what do you know...I can. Thanks! One thing I don't like, which I'm sure everyone else doesn't either, is the price. If you think you can save money by buying this online think again. It is almost the exact same price as if you were paying for it at the vet.

My dog has allergies to only God knows what, and he is extremely picky about what kinds of food he eats. This and refrigerated dog food are the only things he'll touch, and believe me when I say, this stuff is much less expensive, easier to store, and better for my sanity. Also, it's much cheaper than buying it from a vet. If you have to get it, get it from here.

Berklee the blond dog does well with this vet-specified hypoallergenic food (which looks to be mostly wood) and we are reluctant to change her diet. The product is effective and appears to minimize allergy symptoms as promised. When we were running low on HA this summer while staying out of town, we found that none of the local veterinary practices carried this product and were pleased to find it on Amazon. The delivered price was equivalent to what we pay at our vet's office.

Compre este producto porque mis perros son alérgicos a varias croquetas y probe varias marcas con proteina hydrolizada, sin embargo el producto es caro y causa alergia a los bulldog frances, no lo recomiendo. Al final de probar varios productos hidrolizados, la solución fue la comida BARF, que es prácticamente carne de pollo, res y verduras molidas, los perros prefieren ese alimento mas natural y sin conservadores
