Used this to pull a pipe through the ground which meant constant re positioning of the clamp on the cable , very easy to slide up the cable and pull again, never slipped once, great tool!

Worked fine after grinding the lip of the jaw down so it could grip the cable. This on a cable size that it is stated to work on.

I used this in combination of 2 come-a-longs to remove a tree stump with a 3/8" wire rope connected through 4 snatch blocks and also to drag a one ton load on a pallet 15 ft. to another part of the concrete it was sitting on with a 1/2 in rope that I use to fell trees. I was very surprised these held up so well and didn't slip at all even with a load of at least 2,000 lbs. probably a lot more than that. It was great and easy to leap frog with the cable grips and 2 come a longs to pull out the tree stump.It definitely made the purchase worth while. They get my recommendation, witch I seldom give out.

Having large hands this item was able to be operated with one hand. No catches or other hangups in moving parts. I tested it with a 2-ton cable puller and it didn't damage the cable (1/4 inch, 7-19 aircraft cable) or slip at puller capability. I'd recommend this tensioner under the parameters of my use.

This Puller is really Heavy Duty and well made. Remember your tool safety and this is no play toy. Attaches to your cable.Special Note:Another use is to pull heavy vines using this puller and a 4-wheel vehicle tire jack.Really does the trick when you need help with these vines 1/4 to 5/16" vines with thorns found down south.
