I liked everything about it. I glued leather strips on the inside so when I grab a piece of leather it doesn't matter it. I dragged them through my Skyping machine always before I would have to grab the corners and end up marring the leather and but with this thing I just grab it clap it down and drag it through. Works perfectly, I am thrilled.

I needed help to press buttons on a stroller so that the handle bars could be removed for transport. I thought this tool might work, but when fully opened the edge of the pliers is tilted outward so I could not grip the bar where the buttons are. I know that is not what the tool is intended for. It's a well made tool with good quality materials, just couldn't be used as I had hoped for.

Came with some mold flash that's easy to remove with a fine file. Other than that works as you would expect

There are a few leather bags I make that require compression of the seams in order top stitch them. I used to hammer them primarily, which works OK, but there are times when I need to be quiet and need a “gentle” pressure. I found these and thought I’d give them a try. When I received them, some of the edges were a little rough, so I used a rasp and smoothed them a bit before trying them on leather (area circled in picture) It was a quick fix and maybe this wouldn’t have mattered in the end since it wasn’t the main area that touched the leather to compress it. But I needed to make sure since the pliers may be up against other parts of the bag and I can’t afford any scratches. They’re easy to grip and work really well to compress seams. I’ve used them many, many ti:es at this point and I love them each time!

the pliers have texture on the inside and are not smooth; they are not even on the tip. Had to file them and sand them to make them smooth so they do not leave a mark on the leather. Do not recommend.

Jaw face needed quite a bit of tuning up on a wheel.Overall, finish work was chincy. An ok value.Literally, 30 seconds more of work cleaning the tool up when it was made would have been ethical.Be careful, as burs will scratch or pull things.Use a file or put it to a wheel before use.

It worked great to bend my metal roof. The grip is there

I use it on metal, works fine as a hand Seamer. As others said, the edges are a bit rough from the casting but i cleaned them up and seems to be great for my use. Price is great.

Just like all the other reviews, very sharp edges and will take some work. Not a huge deal, I can clean and polish to make them much better.Beware if your not great with some hand tools.
