Great gift, even better if you do it for the parents!We took our new little family member to babysit long enough to get the parents out on the town for a date night. While they were out we used this kit to make the baby's first easter memory board. Taking it out of the box, there's no construction of the kit. It's all assembled, except putting the two easel style supports together, and they just link up. No construction means no mistakes, which is great. Some of us are all thumbs for arts and crafts projects so the simpler the better.The wood is really soft and young, more firm than balsa, so probably a young white pine. That's really common with craft kits like this. It looks nice, and was cut well. It doesn't look cheap, no leftover burrs, no weird cuts, and all smooth edges. The ink pad is disposable and comes in a little plastic tray. It's sturdy enough to act as a backing when you push it onto the feet, again, well thought out.After putting it up to see how it looks, we set up a small space on the kitchen table. After a nappy change when our small cousin was already feet up, we pushed the ink pad against her little feets and toes. Then pushed the feet onto the board. This is probably the hardest part, getting a smooth application of ink and a smooth transfer of ink onto the board. Our edges were a little mushy and the angles are asymmetrical. It worked out though, in this part any imperfection is what makes it personal!The kit includes a fat black pen for writing on the board. You're reading a review from someone who failed at penmanship, writing the lowercase 'l' on the second day of school. I'm not using that pen, lol. I had my partner Baby's name on the platter.After the ink dries, you could do a quick once over in a clear coat to make it glossy and protect the ink.This is a quality crafts kit, and at the current pre-holiday price of $10 (after coupon, at time of review) it fits any budget. I don't know any parent that wouldn't love to see this as a gift, either done for them (like we did) or for their DIY.

I got this little Easter footprint art kit to make a keepsake for my baby's first Easter, and it turned out really cute! The wood is nice and sturdy, and the 3D bunny design is super adorable. I was able to easily make my baby's footprint using the ink pad, and the black marker let me add their name and birthdate. It really feels like a special, personalized item that we’ll treasure for years.The only downside is that the ink pad is a little small, so it can be tough to get a clean print on the first try (especially if your baby’s feet are a little squirmy). I had to redo it a couple of times, but it was worth it for how the final product turned out. Also, the marker is decent, but it could be a bit more smooth for writing.

This baby footprint sign set is absolutely charming. The wood is high-quality and the 3D bunny design is adorable. It was so easy to personalize with my baby's footprint and add a special message.

I was blessed with a granddaughter a couple of days ago and I just had to get this. It very nice and will definitely be a keepsake compared to having the babies footprints and handprints on a piece of paper. You can easily disassemble it and pack it away for the memories at a later date.Plus you can use the ink pad multiple times for other footprints on other items. She is planning to use it for valentine day cards and Christmas cards as her signature. I thought that was a great idea and you can compare them over time.

It was easy to do and such a cute little display for Easter. It would make a wonderful gift as well.
