I bought this because my old radiator cap broke inside the radiator. My fluids were slowly evaporating and would cause my 4runner to overheat. After switching to this cap, the radiator fluid has remained at the same level and it has been almost a month now. With my previous broken cap, the fluid would be gone within 2 weeks. This was used for 03 4runner.Over all, I would recommend this for OEM replacement.

I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. A few months ago I started noticing my radiator seemed to be leaking because the reservoir would dry up pretty quick and the radiator itself would lose antifreeze. I was not looking forward to the bill I was anticipating for the Toyota dealership to find and repair a leaking radiator so for those few months I kept antifreeze on hand and kept it filled and tried my best to locate the leak. The entire time I never thought to just simply check the radiator cap. I never really thought about the radiator cap wearing out or falling apart but that’s exactly what it happened my manufacturers original radiator cap had broken on the inside and had lost its seal allowing the radiator contents to evaporate slowly over the course of the week. So I did the Amazon search to see if the radiator cap was available for my truck and just so happens there was I ordered it and received it within two days and when I compared the two radiator caps there was no doubt that was my problem so I filled the radiator up applied the new And have not lost any fluid cents. Problem solved. So I guess you can tell from This little mini book review that I highly recommend this radiator cap.

I bought this as it appeared to be an OEM replacement as it’s the same price as OEM. I’m driving home and I hear a loud POP, once I get home I arrive to my car smoking, and overheating. I pop the hood and this cap has completely fallen apart, and no longer able to even function. Coolant was squirting out all over my engine through the overflow as there was now nothing to hold back the pressure. It’s a miracle I recovered most of the pieces, I think there may still be a small piece jammed in radiator. If you value your car, and your engine health, buy this part from a reputable dealer. If there was a way I could sue this company for the damages I incurred to my car, believe me I would.
