This is the best shovel I've ever had the pleasure to use. It feels good in the hands, with a beautiful smooth, solid handle and graceful balance. It not only feels good to the hands, but is also easy on the feet as well. The lip on the spade part is wide enough to easily accommodate the foot and accepts pressure when digging without chanting. The spade is sharp and penetrates the soil smoothly and efficiently without wasted energy. I also wanted to review the Radius root digger, but I didn't technically order it. It was delivered by mistake, but I thought it looked so cool, I contacted Amazon about keeping it and charging it to my account. It's without a doubt my favorite tool! Clearing out weeds and creating holes for planting seedlings has never been so easy.

I have a Root Slayer. I consider it the best product I own. Literally. For its category, it goes so far and above its competition that there isn't a reason to buy anything else (I haven't tried Root Assassin, but it looks to be the closest to Root Slayer, and I assume like Root Slayer, Root Assassin is miles ahead of the normal shovel competition). I own other great products in other categories that are clear 5 star products, but not one stands out in its category like Root Slayer does. All of this is to say there were high expectations for this transplanter.I got it two weeks ago and used it for two tree plantings so far. It keeps all the things I love about the Root Slayer (extremely durable, capable, amazing circular handle), but puts it in an overall friendlier-to-plants package. I planted a 6gal Pinus strobiformis 'Loma Linda' and a 10gal Pinus Strobus 'Louie' last weekend with the shovel. It cut through the dirt like the Root Slayer, but was far more gentle on the surrounding roots that made their way into where the planting holes were. I've planted maybe 100 dwarf conifers with the Root Slayer and it always worked well, but with this one I don't sever the root extensions of nearby plants and can more easily reroute them to get better distribution. I wish I bought this earlier, but I didn't know it existed until I saw it the other week.I could go on, but this thing has a really simple purpose and it does it very well. It digs through dirt easily and doesn't viciously attack roots like its more battle-focused older brother. It's the perfect transplanting shovel for me. Given that it's pretty inexpensive, there is no reason not to have one of these if you own a yard.

Great for edging. The oval handle doesn't make my wrist hurt.

I am so glad I bought this tool. It is so much better than trying to use a shovel. Has worked really well edging my overgrown yard and creating edging for new garden bed areas.

The grass at the edge of my yard was starting to get out of control--and I wanted a "half-moon" tool of some sort to cut it back while maintaining straight lines. I originally was going to pick up a standard wood handle edging tool, but then saw this one. The donut hand grip at the end of the handle intrigued me--so I took a chance and bought it--and I'm glad I did.Ergonomic--It's hard to describe in words--but the length of the handle, combined with that rounded circular grip, make edging simpler somehow. There doesn't seem to be a "wrong way" to hold the tool--since it's circular. And it's just comfortable to use. The places where you put your foot are decently wide as well, so it never bothered my feet when I stepped on and pushed down on them.Build quality--The spade is sturdy--I have rocks below the surface in my yard, and I was worried I might bend the spade a few times as I worked--but no bends happened. The handle is light but sturdy as well, and really comfortable to use. I never felt like the handle was going to come apart from the spade, even when prying rocks out from under the surface. Overall, it's a solidly built, tough little tool.If you need a manual edging tool, this one works well, and is very comfortable to use. I recommend it.

I love this garden fork because it's very sturdy, and perfect size for me (I'm 5'1"). Sometimes gardening/farming tools can be awkward for me, just because handles can be too long... but not with this product! I can tell by the weight that this is a durable product, but it's not too heavy for me to handle. The round handle really helps me work at any angle and get a good grip. Make sure to keep it indoors, and don't leave it out in the rain. I mostly use this for giving the compost bins a stir but have also used it in the garden for tilling or gently lifting plants or weeds out. I can't tell you whether it will handle very compacted soil yet but I will try to put it to the test this spring and update this review.

I'm very excited to use this in the garden in place of a broad fork for the smaller sections.

Loved it. Made edging my garden super easy. As an inexperienced gardener having an easy to use tool keeps me motivated to continue working in my garden.

Not bad. Designed to extract small plants/trees for transplant. Narrow lead edge and broad trail edge makes it suitable for this purpose. I tried it and seemed to be easier and cause less mess and damage than a standard spade. Made in China but still it is built well and seems strong enough. The funky handle actually is more functional than I first thought. I paid $30.99 and would consider this reasonable. Note: the green version is cheaper than the other colors bu $10, so obviously buy green. Stainless steel version seems over the top and not worth the additional cost. Happy digging.
