We got this as a joke, because we had a wholesale sized box of Mac n cheese that had been sitting in the pantry for months. This Mac cooker is awesome. Even someone like me who burns toast can make a good bowl of Mac with this. You just throw in the pasta from the box, fill with water to the line, pop it in the microwave for 2:30. Remove, mix, put in the microwave for another 2 minutes. Then you add in your ingredients and you're done! Easy peezy.Let me tell you, I rarely eat Mac n cheese, unless it's a holiday. It's just not something I eat normally. But, these cookers make it one of the easiest things to eat when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to bother with making a plate of food. I have a bowl once or twice a week now because it's so easy to make.Verdict: This is one of those things I never thought existed, and I find it funny that I use it at least once a week. It's definitely one of my most use purchases of 2023 so far. Glad I got it.

As many others have said, the instructions that come with this cause spill over. I have experimented for Weeks to get the Perfect cook time for this, with no spill over. We use off brand mac & cheese, and have a 950 watt microwave.Step 1: add dried macaroni and Then water, to the fill line. Stir. Microwave for 2:30.Step 2: stir *really* well (will be clumpy). Add 1 teaspoon of fresh water. Stir again. Microwave for 2:30.Step 3: stir again, add 1 teaspoon of fresh water, stir. Microwave for 2:30.Step 4: done cooking, time to add butter, cheese powder, and milkBy using the shorter cook time in intervals with a small amount of fresh water added (to offset what steamed out), the noodles come out nice and soft- the stirring keeps them from clumping. This was soft, velvety, and creamy, and my 11yo with a sensitive palate said it tasted better than cooking it on the stove! Win!tl;dr Microwave for 2 and a half minutes, 3 times, stirring every time it beeps

These are great. My brother gave me one as a gift, and I lost it in a move, so I bought 2 more. In about 5-6 minutes total you can go from tearing open a box of macaroni, to eating it.It gets microwaved for 2.5 minutes, stir, 2 more, pour in you butter cheese and milk, and you’re done! Great for quick meals or if you have kids. I’ve used this in a 700 watt microwave, and now 1000. I will say the 1000 does a better job of fully cooking the pasta, but both work.On my 1000 watt, you do have to watch for boil-over, but you can simply stop the microwave by opening the door, and the boil over will stop immediately. Then you can stir and go back in for remaining time. I consider it a minor inconvenience compared to boiling a pot of water which can take a long time just to get to the point you can add the pasta. It all depends on your microwave. With my 700, I didn’t need to watch it at all, but the pasta was not completely soft, which was fine with us.With the 1000, you can’t tell it wasn’t made the old fashioned way! I consider these a necessity now.

Our family use these constantly. Boxed macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, a can of soup. It works well with all of them. It definitely makes it easier for the kids to make a quick snack for themselves without assistance. The handles on the side never get hot thus making it easy to remove the hot bowl from the microwave safely.

This is basically a glorified big bowl, but I do love that it’s so large and the water does not spill out all over my microwave. I have followed the instructions on the package many times with different kinds of Mac n cheese and it always takes longer than advertised. Closer to 9-10 minutes. Just be aware!
