I don't consider a 2200lb strap as being heavy duty so I think the advertisement is over stated. Heavy Duty to me is used for tying down a vehicle or heavier equipment. I'm fine to use these for moving items in my truck or trailer, but not for tying down anything that would have significant consequences if they broke. The ratchets themselves are pretty lightweight as well. Fine for what I describe above, but personally I wouldn't trust them under heavy stress.

My son has a truck that he was looking to add some straps to for hauling things like lumber. Nothing really heavy-duty - just some straps to keep things down. The price of these is great - you don't have to worry about them. If they get messed up after several uses, no big deal. They should be able to hold down those boards, that box, or those miscellaneous items from sliding around in the back of your truck. While I wouldn't trust these for very heavy loads, they will give my son the strength he needs to ensure a number of things in the bed of his truck won't get tossed around as he drives. They work and they work well for that.

These straps are more expensive than the straps from a big box tool store but they also feel a lot more sturdy. My big box tool store straps are reaching their use-by dates and are starting to split, and the ratchets are not as effective as they once were. It was time to find some replacements. This ratchet tie-down set, at $28 for a set of four, may be a bit more pricey but breaking strength is superior, and the set comes with four ratchets, four 15 foot straps, four loop straps and two bungees.I have a utility trailer which I use to haul firewood, lumber, furniture, etc. I need reliable, easy to use ratchets tie-downs to make sure loads are held in place. These ones seem to do the job well.If you need to hold something in place in your car, on your trailer or in a garage/shed, I recommend these tie-downs for strength and ease of use.

Typical ratchet strap setup. I do appreciate the spring loaded closures on the hooks, especially while trying to use these across a roof rack or trailer by yourself. I also like that they included a bag so these items aren’t rolling around in a trunk/truck bed.The straps seem to be decent quality, as is the stitching. The ad says the straps are 15†but they’re 15’ long. The ratchet mechanism works fine while tightening, but the quick release is extremely stiff, if you can get it to go at all. Perhaps this will just take some time and use to loosen up. Still, I’d rather have them hard to remove, but hold securely than vice versa. It says they’re rated for something like 700 lbs, but like to tout the 2000 lb break strength. I’d definitely consider them lighter duty straps- kayaks on roof racks, light duty trailer securing, etc. For your average homeowner, I think these are a great option for the price point.

Nice set, feels strong, durable and good length. I use them to secure stuff on my truck and didn't have any issues with the straps.
