I have a 2003 Mercury Sable with over 100,000 miles. I want to keep it running without paying a fortune. When the master cylinder failed, I searched Amazon and found quite a few options. The Raybestos MC was very reasonably priced so I decided to try it. It didn't take long to receive the part.......they sent the right part........Overall it was a positive experience.

UPDATE: 4 months later, no problem, no leak, no soft pedal. So far, so goodInstalled this a week ago on a 2004 Ford Taurus.PROS:- exact fit, easy installation- after bleeding the ABS module and the wheels, the pedal is hard and brakes are efficient. (In order to bleed the ABS module - drive to grass or rubble and slam on the brakes to activate ABS; this will move the air stuck in the module to the wheels. Do this a few times, and then bleed the wheels. It should be perfect after this)- sensor plug fit just fine- good priceCONS:- the plugs for bench bleeding are a joke - both leaking. I used an old bleeding kit I had- doesn't include proper bleeding kit, like all other master cylinders in existenceSo, consider buying a bench bleeding kit.If anything changes, I will update my review

Pro,great price for a new master cylinderIt's a direct fit for a 2003 Mercury SableCon,Like others have mentioned, the bleeder kit is junk. Both bleeder plugs are the same size but the ports on the master cylinder are different sizes. The pitch is metric and had to use a kit that has metric pitch.Like others have said, the low fluid level sensor will not clip on the connector on the car. The connector does go on like normal but the plastic is not quite right. It think it's too long and the locking tab will not latch on. I popped it off and used my old level sensor. I can probably trim off the length of the plug but I didn't bother.After bleeding all wheels, (good time to flush out old fluid) the master cylinder has been working fine.
