I ordered these to bind cookbooks for gifts. The coils came tightly packed into a re-closable box you can store them in. There were several coils pushed together so you don't have the issue of so many coils shoved in a box that they pop out everywhere. The coils worked perfectly and twisted in easily (I like to insert them by hand). The ends aren't sharp, even when cutting them to fit an A5 book. These feel like a great deal at 34 cents (100 for $34 at time of review). They are sturdy and don't bend easily like some other wires I've tried. I had to use a tool to get the ends to bend (and that's a good thing!).

The coasting comes off when cutting and twisting the ends but I still would buy again.

These wire binding coils work great. The pitch is perfect - I had no problems using them in conjunction with my Epoium spiral binding machine. The wires are easy to cut and bend closed. Recommend.

I have had metal coil (these are more like a claw grip effect as opposed to plastic coil which spins in) that has not deformed properly and the books do not open well.It is important to stay within the capacity guidelines, depending on paper and cover weight. These coils perfomed well for a job and look great. I expect the books to hold toigether for a long time.

got these to bind school books and they work amazing. they are extra long so you can cut them where you need them cut to fit the book.

If you use coil spiral bindings, wire is the best.Best because you can bend the ends after it is in place to prevent it from "unwinding" during use.Plastic coil spiral bindings are okay, but prevention of the "unwinding" is a challenge.
