The vinyl coating keeps things cleaner than uncoated wire. It should also slow corrosion under most use scenarios. I use it for general DIY home repairs, and for tensioning of tire chains (that are rarely used). Cuts easily with any of my 7" or 8" cutters (Klein, Knipex, Gearwrench). Price seems fair for the quantity and quality.

The description indicates that this wire is easy to twist. I found the opposite as other wire I purchased through amazon was just as strong yet much more malleable. Product returned due to difficulty with ease of installation.
