Used this for a wall mounted TV and could not be more pleased. The recessed portion is large enough to accommodate most plugs and installation was breeze.

I needed to install some ethernet jacks on my wall in an area where the cables needed to be recessed to prevent damage and this box made installation easy.It's large, but when going behind a 65 inch TV there is plenty of room.The box is well made, it's thick and durable, but has plenty of clearance to easily install your wall plate and whatever type of outlet you need.I thought it would be difficult to install, but the moment I got the goods, this trouble disappeared in an instant! The instruction manual is very detailed, so that I have no worries about the operation.

The screws that tighten the outlet, just fall though. No threads for the screws to tighten too. I like the size is bigger then the recested boxes at big box stores. However it useless for me, I'm returning it.

Almost everything about it works fine… except when it came time to mount the actual electrical socket. It seems like the holes to install the socket aren’t threaded internally. I’ve tried the 6-32 machine screws that came with the outlet, I tried some M3.5 screws because all the other screws that came with this recessed box were M3.5. Both just twisted forever against nothing in the hole. So now the outlet is kinda just loose back in the box. It mostly works ok because I have an item directly in front of it, but it makes it hard to unplug and just isn’t right.

Great option to recess an outlet in the wall for wall warts etc.
