These actually work perfectly when the screw hole is snapped off the plastic box. It grips fairly strong, was disappointed when it came loose the first time I pulled a plug but the outlet was brand new (tight). If gentle it will be fine.

I was very skeptical if this was going to work. I had an old box where the screw just would go in anymore and I really didn't want to replace the whole box. I took a chance on this and overall yes it really does work. However, it was a real chore to get the clip on to the box itself. I had to scrape off some drywall just to expose enough of the box in order to get that clip in. Then once I got the clip on in the correct position I had to get the screw in the right position. Once I was finally able to do all that the outlet is now secure but it definitely wasn't easy, or at least as easy as the company claims.

While replacing an outlet, the old outlet screws broke off inside the plastic mounts. I was unable to remove the screws but didn’t want to remove the whole plastic outlet box. I ripped the screws out after weakening them with a drill bit and then I put the boxdoctor over where the holes used to be. It was a thicker plastic box and a little tough to push in, but it did go over the box wall and I was able to screw in the new outlet. Looks good and functions how I expected.5 Stars because of their design flexibility, they have three lines instead of a single hole like their competition G-Clip. I bought both and G-Clip is bad with bigger box walls and only has a single hole. Definitely recommend boxdoctor due to the flexible design.

As you can see from my first two images, I had a messy four-gang box with lots of wires and connections. The far right slot had both screw holes broken, and one of them had a broken screw in it. No idea how or when that happened (probably 40 years ago when the house was built as we're the original owners and haven't touched this box before today), but I was ready to rip everything out and start with a new box as there was no way to secure the new switch to the box.No need to do so with this product -- two, $2 clips, and it's good as new.The instruction sheet that's in the box is too small and has poorly contrasting images to be of much use. I suggest the vendor add a QR code on the box with a link to product information and, especially, the video on the product page. Much easier to see how to install the clips on either plastic or metal boxes from the short video found on the product page. They may seem expensive at about $20 at the time of our review but that's about $2 each for the box of ten. Compare that to the cost of replacing a box and you will quickly realize the value.

Was ready to tear out a junction box with a broken off bottom bolt hole. The socket and faceplate did not sit flush to the wall and is located where it was obvious. Wasn't looking forward to the job because I've "been there before" and know how difficult rewiring a box can be when three feed wires are jammed into a single junction box. Then I found Box Doctor shown on a YouTube video. Bought a box and had it by Prime Two Day. Clipped one onto the bottom edge of the junction box, screwed the socket tight into position and replaced the faceplate! Wow! Wish I had known of Box Doctor before as I have just completed upgrade of our second story and had cut out two other boxes before I found the product. I'm telling friends!

Item delivered quickly. Reasonable quantity of 10 in pack. Installed fairly easy and stayed in place. Have used this repaired outlet many times with different plugs and there has been no flex when removing plug. I have every confidence this repaired outlet will work for years to come. Have told several people about it and I go around looking for plugs to repair. I'm obviously crazy about this product.

Solved my problem. Saved me from needing to remove/replace the electrical box. Worth the money they are charging because of the saved labour cost.

Ok, I am not a Doctor but my electrical box was definitely injured badly. This simple yet ingenious idea worked (I was definitely skeptical), after I cleaned up the remaining plastic pieces. This saved me a lot of time and effort.

This will not fit on standard metal outlet box in canada. If your screw holes are outside of your outlet box, this will not fit.
