My electrician set a box wrong so after sheetrock was installed I had a box set 1/2 inch into the wall. This extension worked as advertised and took all of 2 minutes to install. It fit my box without modification and was made of a quality plastic. It was an inexpensive fix. I highly recommend if you find yourself in a similar situation.

Installed a backsplash in our kitchen. Used these box extenders as a guide to work up to and to extend the box flush with the tile. Choose the box extender according to tile thickness. Worked great.

These are perfect if you have outlets that are too far back into a wall (in my case, when I thickened the wall). Does what is supposed to do.
