I bought this as a gift for a friend who is a bit older, and has lost some strength and dexterity in her hands. I chose one that needed AA batteries, because I thought it would be easier to replace batteries than use a cord to recharge a battery. Batteries were easily installed, and the product operates easily.

I open up 2 bottles of wine per week. 700 bottles a year and it still works as expected. The opener gets thru the corks with ease. I would buy it again.

This product is compact, takes up minimal space and ez to recharge via USB. The integrated design of having the foil cutter clipped to the bottom of the opener is both useful and attractive. It is sleek and modern looking as well as operating smoothly and quietly to remove the cork.
