This thing plain old didn’t work. Trouble shooting instructions were for a wood burner. It never finished charging and never got hot.

I'm not really sure why I got this, as I'm not much of a crafter or beader, but I thought it sounded interesting so I figured I'd give it a shot.It actually is pretty cool, though, and I'll probably end up putting it to use more frequently than I'd anticipated, even just with singeing the ends of strings or ropes, which I usually do with a lighter. The only downside is that it doesn't have a cap. I think that would make it extra handy, because then you could carry it around with you and not have to worry about the fine tip getting messed up.I like that it comes with accessories to clean the burning tip, though. I may use them to clean my soldering iron tip soon. The case that everything comes in is a pretty basic plastic box, kind of like a small pencil box, but it would be nice if it closed better without feeling like I'm going to break it.So far it's working nicely, but I'll update this review if anything positive or negative happens to change my opinion on it, but so far I like it.

Mixed Feelings - possibly user error - Pink Thread Burner and White Thread Burner. The expression “When you’re hot you’re hot and when you’re not, you’re not!” comes to mind when using these thread burners. Can’t always get them to turn on or off. When they’re on, they can really burn. Unfortunately 1/4 of battery charge disappeared within just minutes.I do many of my crafts with and around children and wanted an alternative to a flame from a lighter in front of children as well as in and around my craft supplies. My first several attempts to use this thread burner were unsuccessful. The instructions aren’t much help. I’m not sure what I did differently to finally make it work but I did finally have some success. When it worked, it worked well and quickly.Hope with some practice can return to up the Stars for the review. Meanwhile better directions could really help!

Very useful and handy. It is not even heavy. I like it since it helps me with my crafting a lot, and it is easy to use

Out of the box charged pressed button five time would not work. Tried different speeds of five clicks until it turned on then heated up once and would not turn on again

Piece of JUNK. I read the instructions and tried this thing every way I could and reread the instructions and tried again and it never heated up at all. It Damn sure isn't worth the money it cost. I bought it because of the recharge ability but if it doesn't work I will use my battery operated one I have had for a while.

It's small & it gets hot. It works the way it's supposed to & easy to operate. I guess I just thought it'd get hot as a wood burner or soldering iron.I mean, it's not a plug-in, it's rechargeable. So don't expect it to be as powerful as a plug-in soldering iron. For thread burning & intricate soldering, this is good.

I ordered this to help seal/burn the ends of my nylon string as I make wristlets. The tool looks very compact and simple. It was easy to turn on and heat up. My issue is the 10 seconds before it shuts off. When you think 10 seconds you think that will be enough time It clearly is not. I understand the reasoning for it but it makes using the tool a little bit more difficult when you're constantly having to turn it back on. I'm not sure it's going to get very much more use from me. It will be good for small quick projects.
