I got this to put a different brand controller in my truck. It was cheaper this way. Just cut the end off and hard wire it in

My truck wound up NOT being prewired for a trailer connection so I modified it slightly and soldered it in as a simple pigtail. It’s good quality.

You can slip it into the blue factory connection above the white plug wiring harness(left side), default end connector plug & play for Tekonsha.(Prodigy P2) Works great & no crimping, very neat, you don't have to take anything apart. Position it from an upward angle then delicately angle it in at 90 degrees, use a little di-electric grease optionally if you wish on edge of connection, then install the brake controller once you properly route. Don't watch you-tube video. And, for you Dodge guys, you might of had or have a blue connector with 4 wires that came with your vehicle, don't let it confuse you. If you use the original you will fry the brake controller if it is not connected correctly.Use this one.... it looked wrong at first with the wire colours comparing to the OEM harness that came in the plastic bag sitting in glovebox on day one. Had to extensively go over info online and make sure.So I just threw that old OEM in the thrift box and used this.
