I installed this brake controller on my 2nd gen (2012) tacoma SR5, however this wiring harness is intended for 3rd gen models. There's a way to modify it, but only the finest of DIY's ought to tackle that. Opted to just purchase to purchase the 2nd gen harness instead (TPH-021).

Fit and function was great , worked perfectly, unit hidden under dash unlike other units being fully exposed, small adjustment control mounted in empty slot on dash , only thing that is visible , this unit was installed on a 2022 Toyota Tacoma to pull a camping trailer , I would recommend this product
