Super smooth!! Make sure you get some grease to lube them up prior to instalation and run them over a paper towel a couple times to get rid of some of the bigger burs and you will LOVE how nice they feel.

I have not had the opportunity to get the reel out; but presumably it will perform as well as any other carbontex drag. This was very well cut and fit perfectly.

They fit the SLX, definitely an improvement from the stock felt drag that came with the reel.
