Overall works very well. The home reel was easy to install and hooked up quickly. So much better then having a coiled hose everywhere laying around the garage.

This item is perfect for a homeowner. It is not bulky and heavy like commercial units so it installs relatively easily. After wearing out my older unit, I couldn't wait to replace it.

This may not be as durable as reels that are more expensive, but it does have a very compelling feature. The hose is fed through a system that distributes it evenly as it winds up. That's a huge deal because it otherwise gets jammed up inside quite easily. That alone keeps me a loyal customer.If you intentionally or accidentally let go of the hose while rewinding, I'm sure it will wreck something inside the reel when it gets to the end. But, isn't that usually the case with these things? So educate your family, friends and coworkers before operating.The reels have been leak-free, but one developed an internal leak. The company replaced it no charge with a single email to their website. That's good service.The hose is durable and super pliable at any temperature. That's the other great feature.

This item rocks. I cheaped out at first and bought a HF version, spent time drilling through thick metal on my lift to install it.... the HF broke with first two unspooling. I mounted this device easily by salvaging the HF frame already bolted to my lift, and some angle iron from HD.One tip, unscrewing two screws releases the mount bracket from spool to facilitate mounting .

I am a farmer and we use this air hose 3 to "a-bagillion" times a day. We rely on it continuously through our hot summers and cold winters. We had a slight issue with our first reel, contacted the company, and they sent a replacement ASAP no questions asked (except for what address do you want us to send it to). I won't hesitate to buy this product again.The only things I think they could improve upon is making a 100' product.

Purchased this unit after reading many reviews of other units and have it mounted high on wall above Compressor. Have had it mounted for about a month and works great thus far! Homeowner DIYer usage only.Update: have been using this now for the last few months and no issues! Still working great!UPDATE: After 7-8 Months if occasional Homeowner usage the plastic guide broke as another reviewer posted. Without the guide the hose has a tendency to retract on the left side only as the guide makes the hose retract across the spool. Becuase of this, many times I have to guide the hose in slowly for the last 8-10 feet or it won’t retract into the unit fully. I contacted the seller and they replaced the unit thankfully. I will replace the unit this spring. Becuase of the broken hose guide I downgraded my review one star. I am hoping the new unit will allow a few years of occasional usage before the plastic hose guide breaks again. Next unit I will purchase will be the allMetal Units.Update January 2021! Reelworks replaced my initial purchase in 2017 when, as others have stated, the plastic hose guide broke. Looking at the replacement I thought perhaps the stopper hit the guide and broke it during hose retraction as the hole in the plastic cover is too large IMO. I drilled through a tennis ball and threaded it on the hose and reinstalled the hose guide. The tennis ball is loose enough to glide along the hose but provides a “bumper†for the hose stopper during hose retraction. Thus far it has worked beautifully. Unfortunately now the hose reel has lost its ratcheting action ie the hose will not stay in place when pulled out! As mentioned I am a homeowner that probably uses the hose real 1-2x weekly! This hose reel is trash and I will NEVER buy from this company again!

Home garage install for air wrench, tire filling etc. Centrally installed on ceiling and reaches all corners easily. Solid ratchet component, great build quality...5/5 stars!

Really impressed so far. I’m using this in my garage. Light duty use but I’m quite impressed. Soft hose, durable housing, no leaking, and what appears to be a decent quality ratchet system.
