The short bed fifth wheel hitch patented design allows towers to make up to 90-plus degree turns without having to leave the cab of the truck. The Sidewinder connects to your trailer and works by locking the trailer king pin to the fifth wheel hitch which moves the pivot point of the trailer a whopping 22 inches rearward to allow for increased turning clearance. The towing fifth wheel hitches system also tracks automatically, allowing for tighter turns when towing forward or moving in reverse, keeping the load centered over the axles, and eliminating the need for a fifth wheel slider system. So I have a 2021 ram 2500 with ram boxes. Crosswing 5th wheel hitch. This 5th wheel pin box workes perfectly. Little heavy but put it on tailgate with blocks under and dropped camper down to it. easy bolt up. Just make sure it will work on your king pin box at camper. Bought another for my sons camper and it will not work. So I'm stuck with it for now. No free returns. I know it will be a learning experience turning but I have high hopes.

I've been using the Sidewinder for 3 years now. It's is attached to my GD310GK-R, pulled by a 2020 Ram 2500 MEGA Cab short bed 4x4. With this set up I have a full 90 deg turn capability and room for extra stuff in the bed because the hitch dosent move. It turns/pivot on the RV and not in the bed attachment point. Everyone that I show it to with short bed trucks wants one.
