It is especially useful on longer tabletops or for tables that consistently support extra weight. The stiffener has a metal V-channel construction and attaches easily with just a few screws. This Stiffener measures 60-Inch long and is suitable for tabletops measuring 66 to 84-Inch long. It is backed by a 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

I've had it for a couple months so I can support my Karlby countertop from IKEA. It works amazingly! I didn't want to have that support that works as a leg as in my opinion it looks so ugly and also affects our leg movement. So far I don't have ANY signs of sagging. The metal is incredibly sturdy, you have no idea. It was easy to install, just a few screws and that's it. If you have a 74 inches desk like I do and you're planning to add cabinets on the sides, you might want to add some risers to make sure you will have space to install the stiffeners as shown in my pictures. Obviously this is more expensive than a leg support but it is definitely worth it.

Pretty good product, pretty much as advertised. The screws that came with it are decent. The caps for the end were a nice touch. Only complaint is that these should really come in packs of two, I can't imagine only wanting one. Minus one star for that.

I bought two of these to use as supports for a 36"x80" solid-core slab door that I used to make a desk out of. The slab weighs about 90 lbs and it's a door so it's not meant to be mounted horizontally. 6 months on, no sag whatsoever.

Listing was somewhat misleading to me.. appears to be two bars.. you only get one. Also bought this to correct a slight sag in a 74" desk and one bar did absolutely nothing. I even put 40 lbs of weight on the underside of the desk while attaching the bar. After attaching, a level indicated everything was straight. But when flipped back over the bar just bows with the top.

I'm building my own corner L-shaped desk with the IKEA Karlby countertops and wanted to future proof the tops to prevent sag. Hopefully these table stiffeners will do. I ordered 2, only one comes per order. It did come with screws, but was short by 1 unfortunately.

Comes in a corrugated cardboard wrap that just has the ends taped together. First one I ordered did not include hardware, or at least it didn't once I got it as the flat, thin edge effectively acted like a knife and cut the tape. I ordered a replacement and had the same issue except that the hardware was in the still secured end, Works exactly as advertised. Yes, it is only 60" long and it is for 66" to 84" tabletops in that you wouldn't want it to go edge to edge, otherwise it would be visible. I used it as a support for a 54"x20" tabletop that connects to a 82"x24" tabletop. Only used one as I needed the surface underneath to install drawers. Dinged two stars because of the poor shipping condition and therefore missing hardware.

Great product. Used it for shelves on a large bookcase. Easy to fasten.
