These feeders work great for my dog - I bought three of them so I can toss them in the washer every few days. They should be used under supervision so your dog doesn't chew/eat any part of it but they really help to slow my dog down and gives him more to do at meal time instead of just inhaling his food. The loops are quite tough and feel like they're made of seat belts - which I appreciate. I wash nervous to machine wash them but they've done great through many washers. I even throw them in the dryer on low heat and everything seems to be holding up perfectly.

I feed my boy all his meals in a snuffle mat. It curbs some of his extra morning energy as I get ready for the day. The mat is made with quality, fairly heavy duty materials and seems to wash well; on gentle cycle and air dried of course. I expect it to last for a long time.

My dog seems to enjoy it (I put half his food in this and half in his bowl and he often starts with this). He does not seem tired or mentally stimulated from it, unfortunately.

My dog is very nose driven so I purchased this and she loves it!! She won’t eat food out of her bowl anymore. She gets so excited when I refill her mat!

I’ve used this for regular feedings and it’s great to keep them busy. The stitching is pretty weak for a $40 toy. If they tug on the loops at all two pop out and that only makes them want to pull on it more. Good concept, quality could use some improvement.

We were looking a for a snuffle mat to provide some sniff time during these cold days where our outdoor time is limited. Great quality and the high sides really help keep everything contained.

Full Disclosure: I have a large bull terrier and I assumed he would destroy this, before I ordered it. That said, I spend a week letting this thing acclimate to the odor of our home so it smelled less like a new toy, and taught him to wait and watch me put food in it, like a bowl, before giving the "OK!" command. He ran over to it, and, to my surprise, sort of used it as intended for a minute. Then he pulled the guts out, with minimal effort. The materials are strong, and the little fabric loops inside are also strong, but they are apparently sewn/fastened with what looks like a single stand of dental floss. He did not even put any effort into it. Within 10 seconds, he had pulled out so many of the sewn loops that it looked like a giant muppet wig.I'm always trying new things to see what works, and, as I said, I expected him to destroy this. So please know that I am not giving a one-star review based on him fulfilling that expectation. I am giving the bad review because of how little effort he put into destroying it. The complete lack of strength in the fastening stitches is a deal-breaker. They are literally about as strong as those little plastic strands that hold tags on a new article of clothing.It takes a lot to disappoint me when I fully expected this thing to be wrecked at the time I ordered it. Consider me disappointed.

Great mat for a restless or excited doggo! He loves when this comes out for a little mental stimulation. Worth the price tag!
