This is fun and beautiful sound, very portable and value. I bought it for a friend that had a stroke and loss mobility of one arm, but she can play this just fine. Lifts her spirits, great color, size and loads of fun. I’m happy about this product.

This is a truly unique gift for anyone- children to elderly people. It comes with two mallets that are good quality, but it can also be used as a rain instrument. The color is beautiful and the size is just right. It makes the nicest, most relaxing sounds. It’s pretty easy to pick up. My kids all love it, ages 2-10.

I think this rain drum is the coolest idea. I bought this for my mom and aunt for Christmas and they both loved it. The color is as vibrant as it is in the pictures. We live in Wisconsin so they have not placed it outside yet because they don’t want it to be damaged in the cold. The drum actually came with drum sticks so my kids had a great time on Christmas playing the drum and I was shocked at the sound quality.The drum is sturdy so I hope they have it and enjoy it for years to come.This is the perfect gift for a person that lives decorating their yard. A unique gift!!

As a fun instrument to play around with, it gets 5 stars -- notes are well tuned, and I love the sound. As a "rain drum" to make music on its own when left outside in the rain, though, it's a dud. I think it would take a pounding downpour or possibly a hailstorm for it to make audible music.

Got this for Christmas for my sister-in-law and spent multiple hours competing on who can play the prettiest song definitely worth the purchase like the fact that it comes with the little drumsticks and a music guide. We had a lot of fun with this on Christmas Day.

Excellent tongue drum, really good quality, good size and seems all-around carefully put together.To play it, however, be prepared to go against your presumption that it will produce clear sounds if you simply strike it. Another amazon reviewer said that all the notes sound the same, and that is generally true if you hit it hard. But yet another reviewer has posted a video of themselves playing it and it should be noted how lightly they tap the drum. This is key to the sound. Im still getting the hang of it myself but once its struck the right way, the notes truly resonate in a distinct fashion. Its very much like those ringing bowls, you just have to find out how to do it before you realize it works as intended.

Opened it and immediately, within the book enclosed on how to use, it says keep indoors and keep out of the rain. Extremely and intentionally misleading. I bought this because it was advertised as a RAIN drum that could be left outdoors.I've added an image of the page in the book for other customers who should probably spend their money elsewhere.

The paint start coming off just after months of usage and the number stickers didn't even last a week. Probably just something to use as a room decoration, if you want an actual instrument, look elsewhere.
